Beauty is more than skin deepBeneath the exquisite exterior of CH445, The Wing Chair, is a well-kept secret: a hand-made wooden frame that is in itself a thing of beauty. And it will never be seen by anyone but our craftsmen. We build our upholstered chair and sofa frames with wood and dedication and would never dream of using fiberglass or plastic. Because that’s the way Hans J. Wegner designed them – and because wood comes from renewable sources, and just feels better to us.

Peter's table and chairHans J. Wegner created his children's table and chair as a christening gift for Peter Mogensen, the child of his friend and fellow furniture designer, Børge Mogensen. With its rounded edges, assembly without screws or nails, and untreated solid wood, Peter's Chair and Table are completely safe and educational for young children.

FURNITURE FOR THE CORNER OFFICE BY HANS J. WEGNER
CH111 CH112 CH113Fully upholstered seat and back provide outstanding comfort to make CH111 equally suitable at the conference table or the desk. Let your eye follow the back legs as they gently twist to embrace the chair back: a meeting between form and function that only Wegner could envision.
Can a chair become more contemporary 40 years after it was designed? Introducing Wegner’s easy chair in steel and saddle leather. It looks exactly as it did when Wegner designed it in 1970; perhaps the rest of us have simply caught up in the meantime. Available with or without armrest pads.
A variation on CH112, this elegant meeting chair is equally at ease in the office or boardroom. It gets along famously with the rest of the collection, but is also confident enough to stand on its own. Seat and back in saddle leather; available with or without armrest pads.
A bold strategy is nothing without uncompromising execution. The simple, strong lines of Wegner’s desk exude serenity; sumptuous materials and exquisite craftsmanship deliver to create
lasting value. The expansive desktop provides ideal conditions for big ideas. The dovetailed drawers are great places to keep the devilish details. Available in oak or walnut - in either oil or lacquer.

Thomas Bo Kastholm
Thomas Bo Kastholm’s DayBed
As the son of Jørgen Kastholm, Thomas Bo Kastholm was born into a family passionate about furniture design.
Thomas Bo Kastholm followed in his father’s footsteps, studying design at the Danish Design School and worked for studios in both Denmark and Germany.
Cooperation between Carl Hansen & Søn and Thomas Bo Kastholm began in 2009.
With his DayBed, Thomas Bo Kastholm sets out to achieve a design that is open and straightforward – and also showcases his favorite materials, steel and leather.
The result, TK8, is a light bench with a simple, almost minimalistic construction.
The frame is produced without welding, and can be assembled with just a few bolts.

Carl Hansen & Søn has produced qualit y furniture since 1908, and has cooperated with the Hans J. Wegner Studio since 1949. We craft high-end furniture in small series, endeavoring to combine the best of centuries-old woodworking tradit ions with modern production techniques to provide our customers with outstanding design and last ing value.
Through almost 60 years Hans J. Wegner designed a variety of his most iconic pieces specifi-cally for Carl Hansen & Søn. We continue to work with the studio of Hans J. Wegner to introduce or re- launch the very best of the treasure chest of design he lef t behind.
Sustainable design
There is nothing “throw-away” about our furniture. The last ing beauty of it s designs has been tested by the var y ing tastes of several generations. I t s workmanship has stood the tr ials of ever yday use since 1950. And it is s t i l l going strong.
Many of our models have been in production for more than 60 years and r ightly deser ve to be cal led contemporar y design classics. Wegner’s designs appeal to both young and old. L ike works of other design geniuses, they make their way into beautiful homes all around the world, transcending fashion trends and decorating sty les.
Sustainable materials
True to our Danish furniture tradit ions, Danish hardwoods from renewable sources play a central role in most of what we do. We use paper cord seats on many chairs. We upholster other chairs with high qualit y wool fabrics or leather. Stainless steel is also used on some chair and table models, and we use steel bolt s and f ix tures.
Of course, al l materials that we use in our furniture are completely safe in homes and working environments.
