Watson Caring Science Institute Caritas Consciousness Workshop April 2014 For more information and to register, visit our website: watsoncaringscience.org Watson Caring Science Institute (WCSI) is offering a One Day Workshop on Friday, April 4 th Caring Science: Conscious Dying Principles & Practices – Transformational Education for End of Life ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WCSI is pleased to announce that we are now able to offer scholarship funds to allow sliding scale payment ($80 $200) for up to 8 people to participate in this workshop. If you wish to request these funds, please reach out directly to our Executive Office Manager, Meg Ryan, at 303-546-7970 by March 28th. This workshop is being led by WCSI Clinical Faculty Associate Tarron Estes, Founder of the Conscious Dying Institute, an organization whose mission is to restore death and dying to its natural place in the sacred circle of life by creating a new wisdom-based culture of healing professionals, practicing across all health care settings, who elevate the experience of end of life care. In this one-day workshop we explore “Conscious Dying Principles and Practices” – a sacred philosophy and new primary palliative practice appropriate for family or home caregivers and front line clinicians. This approach upholds Death as a sacred passage and transformative healing journey, including exploration of the spiritual and emotional practices/rituals necessary for dying patients to transition with grace inside their own beliefs and practices. Friday, April 4 th being held in Boulder, CO Participants can expect to: Deepen knowledge and awareness of Conscious Dying as a Transformation Model for end of life care and education Explore a sacred philosophy and new palliative care practice base that supports us as we face our own fears and understand the importance of grieving our own loses Learn palliative therapies to use with any one regardless of health status Gain insight into how to authentically approach end of life care planning through use of a "Vision Map for Best of Life Care” tool Questions?
