Caring Kits: OverviewDuring my shifts, I noticed: Staff continually entering/exiting isolation rooms to getneeded admission supplies. As the trips increased, thecompliance to Isolation Protocol decreased The items they searched for were stored throughout theunit, including clear across on the other station Staff using their own pens/markers in isolation roomsand then holding onto them and using them again atthe nursing stations and in other rooms 4. Caring Kits: DevelopmentEngagement of Staff / Disciplines Educated staff prior to start of project in huddles, staffmeetings and with flyers Conducted brief surveys with staff Conducted brief in-services with other disciplines (EVS,PCTs, etc) to build and sustain a caring-healingrelationships Change in culture 5.
