DAY ONE: TUESDAY 12 FEBRUARY 2019
9:15AM KEYNOTE PANEL: HOW TO ENSURE BUSINESS CONTINUITY ACROSS THE CARIBBEAN? ASSESSING NETWORK RESILIENCE AND DISASTER RECOVERY PLANNING In 2017, the hurricanes that affected several islands across the region caused considerable damage and the Caribbean is still recovering from the latest hurricane season. Hurricane Irma in particular, was one of the strongest storms ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean and its impact has caused catastrophic damage. Correspondingly, the impact on critical infrastructure caused continuous service disruption during several days, weeks and even months after the hurricanes hit the islands. In this context, reducing network vulnerability across the region is a priority for the wholesale telecommunications sector. This panel will assess network resilience across the Caribbean and provide a roadmap to facilitate business continuity.
• What disaster recovery solutions can guarantee business continuity? • How can organisations plan effectively to recover from an unexpected natural disaster? • How vulnerable are networks across the Caribbean? • How can the industry be better prepared for natural disasters?

11:45AM HOW ARE CONTENT PROVIDERS CHANGING THE INDUSTRY DYNAMICS AND SHAPING INFRASTRUCTURE ACROSS THE CARIBBEAN? Demand of Over-The-Top (OTT) applications and services is growing exponentially. This growth is therefore placing traditional services under pressure. Streaming video content is igniting the demand for capacity and enhancements on network architecture, reducing latency to create a better experience for end-users is a key priority for OTTs.
