Our binder chains are available in four grades and a variety of sizes so you can achieve the ideal strength-to-weight ratio for your application. Larger chains have higher safe working loads than smaller chains of the same grade, but they also weigh more. Higher grade chains are stronger than lower grade chains of the same size, so you can benefit from a higher safe working load without having to haul around a heavier chain. Make sure you know the safe working load of your application. Choose a chain from our wide selection that is strong enough to do the job, but light enough to handle as easily as possible.

Steel-core cables are 10% to 15% stronger than fiber-core cables, and are more resistant to bending and crushing. Fiber-core cables are lighter and more flexible than steel-core cables, making them easier to handle.

Both styles are manufactured with a 6 x 19 construction. Each cable consists of 6 braids wrapped around the core, and each of the 6 braids contains 19 individual strands of steel.
