Career/Technical Education Teacher, Geneseo High School Geneseo High School, located in Geneseo Illinois is a mid-sized high school with a very progressive CTE department. Geneseo, IL is located 20 miles east of the Quad Cities along interstate 80. Geneseo High School has an opening for a CTE teacher that will begin in August of 2016. The skill-set of the new teacher will define the actual teaching assignments, but could include the teaching of Building Trades I & II, Auto Tech I & II, Machining I & II , Precision Metals, Drafting, Beginning Cabinetry, Audio/Visual Production, Welding I & II, and more. Geneseo High School is blessed to have excellent facilities, tools, and equipment for the CTE department. The CTE department has a CNC turret lathe, Bridgeport style CNC mill, 4’x8’ CNC Shopbot mill, 2 3D printers, 6 Lincoln MIG welders, 5 Lincoln TIG/MIG combo welders. Geneseo High School CTE department also works closely in conjunction with several local manufactures and construction companies to ensure that our students are receiving training on equipment and technology that leads to an employable skillset. The CTe department at Geneseo High School has worked in conjunction with Black Hawk College to offer several dual credit classes. We currently offer Welding I and Welding 2, as well as a certificate program that allows Building Trades students to obtain their carpentry certificate from Black Hawk College. Welding students can continue their education and training at Black Hawk College to quickly complete a certificate in welding.
