Your investigation Investigate different careers at a Zoo and use your smart

phone, iPad or other Bluetooth enabled device* to record

questions and any other information that may help you do

research into Zoo-based careers.

Your task Visit locations shown on the map. Listen to the recorded interviews on the App and read the information.

Record questions and other information on your device. You will meet at the Education Centre for a careers

presentation where you can ask questions to find out more. The Adelaide Zoo App will record audio, video,

images and text that you can take back to school and use later to investigate animal based careers.

Before you arrive Download the Adelaide Zoo App onto your smart device (App Store or Google Play)

If you are downloading to an iPad, make sure you select the iPhone only option in

the App store [the app doesn't show up in the iPad section]

Enable Bluetooth and Location Services (you can turn notifications off in your

phone/iPad/tablet settings if you like)

Select the offline mode and download the app content. If you do

this you wont need Wi-Fi or use any data at the zoo. All of the

content downloads before you arrive and is then triggered by

iBeacons placed around the zoo.

*If you don’t have access to a smart device, record your questions on paper and ask them during the careers presentation at the Zoo Education Centre.
