The Professional Skills programme is specially designed to help you develop the skills and qualities you need to start work or to move on into higher education. Your tutors will be delivering sessions throughout the year with help from the Careers team.
Professional skills is designed to help you:
Develop and identify your skills for employment or higher education
Understand the world of work
Make decisions about your next steps and career plans
Progress to employment, education or training
By the end of your course you should
o Know what your options are after your course
o Know where to look to find work or apprenticeships in your chosen sector
o Be able to plan to your next steps
o Have a CV
o Have the skills to complete applications and succeed in interviews
o Know your strengths, and skills that employers want
