TRANSCRIPT
On March 7th-8th, all Region 2
Career Services Directors traveled to San Antonio Texas for their regional meeting. The Directors from each school shared a few of their “Best Prac-tices” for achieving graduate placements and successful ways to improve employer relations. There where many exciting ideas that were shared and they will help your Career Service team, here at
TSB East, better serve you; The student.
The Director of Career Ser-vices at TSB:East and his team were awarded a certificate of recognition for achieving TWC placement rates in all programs. The team also received a plaque for “Best Overall Accreditation”
for 2011.
When asked for a response, the Director, Marquis Williams, stated “I must thank my team for all the hard work they put in to help us reach our goals. I must also recognize the out-standing students and grads from our
campus; They make the job worth wild”
Each Month, Career Services will recognize one lucky graduate as the “Extern of the Month.” The extern of the Month is voted on by the CS staff and The Program Chairs and is awarded a $25 dollar gift card. The recipient of this award is someone who was not only hired from externship, but displayed outstanding character and professionalism on the site, received high marks from the site supervisor on their evaluation, represented themselves and the school well and by utilizing the skills and knowledge they learned in school were able to secure employ-
ment from the extern.
While we know ALL of our students are rockstars and all posses the C.L.A.S.S as the recipient of the Extern of the Month, only one student can win. For the month of March 2012, the winner of the “Extern of the Month” was awarded to Deneshia
McClendon(MA.)
Mrs. McClendon had perfect attendance at her site and received all 4’s (the highest rating) on her externship evaluation. Here is a quote from her site manager, Christine Johnson at The Kelsy-Seybold Clinic: “ Deneshia McClendon is a very friendly, confi-dent, mature young lady who demonstrates professional-ism, is very punctual, takes initiative and is a very suppor-
tive team member, along with being very cooperative..”
