Shanti Havan on Teacher's Day at Career Point University,

Hamirpur

The law Department of Career Point University organized Shanti

Havan and Vedic Chants on Teacher's Day. They memorized their

teachers and took oath to follow the path that recommend by them. The

Vice Chancellor Dr. K.S. Verma, the Registrar Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, the

Dean Academic Affairs Prof. M.R. Sharma and other teachers of

University offer oblation in Shanti Havan. The professors inspired

students to pray for world peace. The Administration felt delighted

from the traditional way of celebrating Teacher's Day. They said that

these types of functions develop ethics among students.

The Hotel Management Department of University also celebrated

Teacher's day. The Himachali Dham was arranged by the students. The

Dean Academic Affairs Prof. M.R. Sharma told students about Dr.

Radhakrishnan’s life and why this day is celebrated as Teacher's day.

He talked about value of education in society and guidance of teacher

for success. All other departments of University too celebrated this

occasion with great joy and happiness.

11th Governing Body Meeting in Career Point University

The Pro-Chancellor Prof. P L Gautam chaired the 11th Governing Body

Meeting of Career Point University. The accomplishments of the

university and future plans for the university had discussed in this

meeting. The Registrar of University, Dr Sanjeev Sharma welcomed and

appreciated this Governing Body. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. K S Verma

launched the Annual Progress Report of university. He talked about the

Success of 9th Indian Youth Science Congress, 3rd Convocation

Programme, Study Building Block -2, Hostel and Auditorium of Career

Point University, Hamirpur. He also pleased to say that Prof. P L Gautam

will be awarded by Dr A P G Abdul Kalam Education Excellence Award

for his great contribution in the field of education.

Plantation Programme by Career Point University

The Community Development Cell of Career Point University made

successful Medicinal Plantation Programme in the rural areas .The Pro-

Chancellor, Prof. P L Gautam, Vice Chancellor Prof. K. S Verma , the

Registrar, Dr. Sanjeev Sharma had graced this occasion by planting in

the castle village, animal dispensary and school. They also distributed

nearly 100 plants. Earlier also University distributed plants in 5 villages.

The Pro-Chancellor P. L. Gautam made people aware about the

environmental protection . Dr. S. Vaibhav and Asst. Prof. Vinod Sharma

also told about blood donation that it is safe and easy without any side

effects.

Lecture on Physical Health and Yoga

A lecture on Physical Health and Yoga was

organised by State Director of Supermodel

India in Career Point University. State

Director Mr. Bevan Atri gave a lecture on

Physical Health and Nutrition. Meanwhile,

Dr. Vaishnavi Chauhan and Dr. Rupanshi

Rana guided students about how to take

care of their health and what we should eat

in our daily routine.

Seven Days Pragti Program

Seven days Pragti (Program for Advanced

Growth & Training of Intern) had been

inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Dr K S

Verma, the Registrar, Dr Sanjeev Sharma

and the Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. M R

Sharma at Career Point University

Hamirpur. This is a great initiative program

started for the students to enhance and

develop their creativity and communication

skills.

Tips Provided to Engineering Students

A two days workshop was organised in Career

Point University. Students of MBA, BBA, B.Com

and B.Tech Mechanical Engineering participated

in workshop. Senior Vice President, S D Yadav of

Metro Tyres Ltd. and CEO of Haat Retail

Company, Sanjeev Kumar were the chief guests.

They gave various tips to students. They also

shared their experiences and also informed

students about the job opportunities in financial

intelligence and corporate sector. They also gave

management tips to students. Vice chancellor

thanked them for guest lecture.

Entrepreneurship Workshop for Students

Entrepreneur Cell of Career Point University

Hamirpur has organized a workshop by District

Industrial Center, Hamirpur. This workshop

informed the students for their entrepreneurship.

Mr Vijay Choudhary (General Manager), and Mr

Pratyush Chauhan (Manager) introduced various

plans of Govt. and the students also appreciated

this type of workshop for their career counseling.

Two Days Workshop

Computer Science Department and Mechanical

Department of Career Point University Organized Two

Days workshop for B.Tech Students. B.Tech

Mechanical Students learnt about Auto CAD and

Solid works. Computer Science students learnt about

Python in first session and PHP in second session of

workshop. Er. S Vaibhav, HOD of Mechanical

Department and Ms Neha Thakur HOD of Computer

Science Department told that this workshop will help

the student to get the platform in their career.

The Completion of Second Phase of Green

Innovation Campaign

The Botany Department of Career Point University

completed the second phase of Green Innovation

Campaign. In this, the students did rally and plantation.

The plantation is done by M Sc 1st sem. students.

Various types of plants including Oak, Ambla,

Blackberry and Acacia were planted in University

campus. Earlier, the first phase was completed in

Koksar valley of Lahul-Spiti.

International Pharmacist

Programme Organized

Pharmacy Department of Career Point

University organized International

Pharmacist Programme. It was

inaugurated by HOD of Pharmacy

Department, Ms Anjna Devi, Asst.

Professor Ms Poonam Dogra, Asst.

Professor Mr Shashi Pal, Asst. Professor

Mr Rakesh Kumar and Asst. Professor Mr

Atul by lighting the lamp. The main topic

of the Programme was ‘Drugs Mukt

Hamara Pyara Himachal ’.

On this occasion, students were informed

about the safe uses and side effects of

drugs. Students were informed about their

responsibilities towards society as a

pharmacist.
