It’s not sufficient to be connected to numerous people without
interaction. There are different levels of relationships. Small
group considered close friends, may or may not be in LinkedIn,
communicate on a personal level regularly, having time for
coffee and getting to know them and their needs more.
Then a larger group, building a relationship with and getting to
know more through email, phone calls, and personal messages
on social media.
Some, may have a multitude of contacts or followers, who are
thousands, and can communicate with them via Twitter,
Google+, LinkedIn, and email. Regularly, people from the outer
groups move into the inner groups.

• Bad Online Presence: There are literally hundreds (maybe
thousands) of articles online about people who have been
fired for posts on social media, or ones that talk about how
HR teams Google your name before they call potential
candidates in; and yet with all of this overwhelming
information, job seekers don’t seem to heed the warnings and
post controversial things online with no regard whatsoever. It
could be a CAREER ENDER! Make sure you scour the internet
and clean up your online dirty laundry.
