The career guidance cell placement was found to be very active as more number of

companies conducted campus interview for the final year students, namely

Eureka Forbes, T.Nagar, Chennai conducted the campus interview on 24.02.2014. About 29

students were selected and placed in various jobs.

Integrated Enterprise(India) LTD., T.Nagar, Chennai conducted the campus interview on

27.02.2014. About 7 students were selected and placed.

Priya Fire Safety Equipments, Avadi, Chennai conducted the campus interview on


Reliable Business Solutions and Services Pvt. Ltd., Velachery, Chennai conducted the

campus interview on 02.04.2014. About 14 students were selected and placed.

The career guidance cell of the college has carried out many activities to enhance career

opportunities for the final year students. As our institution is located in a backward area, no

coaching facilities for competitive examinations are available for the students. And therefore it

was decided by the cell to conduct coaching classes for the students who are in need of coaching.

Staff members of our institution were deputed to take coaching classes. 38 students were

attended this class. In addition, Staff of our college also conducted coaching classes for NET/SLET

for the P.G. and M.Phil., scholars. 25 students were attended this class.

Alagappa University Study Circle Centre is conducting various activities for student’s higher

education and their career. As a part of this activities “Career Guidance Cell” was inaugurated on

Tuesday 5th July, 2016 in Arumugam Pillai Seethai Ammal College. The principal of the college Dr.

A. Susaimanickam delivered the welcome address.

Dr. P. Sureshkumar, the director of Alagappa University Study Circle, delivered the special

address. He explained the students vividly about the purpose and passion of the study circle. The

study circle centre decided to awake the students and give them a clear idea about the central and

state government competitive examinations. The cell planned to invite experts to enhance and

encourage the student’s burning desire. Besides, the Career Guidance Cell planned to get sample

question papers, books to find their suitable career.

Mr. M. Balasubramanian, Deputy Registrar, Alagappa University Addressed the audience

and donated many books to the principal. It brought immense pleasure in the minds of the

students. Around 600 students participated in this function. Faculty members strengthened the

function. Dr. Gopinath, Vice Principal, Arumugam Pillai Seethi Ammal College made the function

successful by his heartful thanks.

Career Guidance Cell conducted the one-day training progamme entitled

on “Personality Development for Career Enhancement” in the college premises

on 29.08.2016. Prof. M. Muthukamu, Head of the

Department, Department of Business Administration delivered the welcome

address.

Dr. A. Susaimanickam, principal of the college delivered the presidential

address. Dr. N. Ramani, Vice Principal of Administration felicitated the gathering.

Dr. G.V. Gopinath, Vice Principle of Academic addressed the students. He

explained the importance of the training programme to the students.

Mr. J. Sarathy, Chief Executive Officer of PROGRESSIA, Chennai was

invited as a resource person. He strongly said communication plays a vital role in

getting a job. He motivated the students by his lecture. He shared many of his

experiences with students. He enquired the students about their problems in

developing communication skills. He suggested many ideas to overcome the

communication barriers.

This one-day career enhancement programme alarmed in the young

minds about their career. Around 700 students attended the programme. Prof. A.

Balasundaram, Department of Chemistry delivered vote of thanks.

The Career Guidance Cell of Arumugam Pillai Seethai Ammal College,

Thiruppathur conducted the one day seminar com exhibition on career guidance on

15.02.2017 in the seminar hall. We started the programme with a prayer.

Dr. A. Susaimanickam, Principal welcomed the gathering. Thiru N. Rameswaran,

Secretary of felicitated, the audience. Dr. N. Ramani, Vice-Principal [ Administration]

and Mrs. S. Seethalakshmi, Public Relation Officer, Sivagangai felicitated by their

informative speech.

Mr. D. Ilango, District Revenue Officer delivered the presidential address. He

stressed that students should be well disciplined, aim high and dream big.

Mr. P. Suresh kumar, Director, Alagappa University Study Circle, Karaikudi

delivered a special address entitled on “An Introduction to the world of career ”. He

quoted “ how to face invisible challenges” in their upcoming life. Dr. G.V. Gopinath,

Vice-Principal delivered a special address entitled on “Research studies and its

funding agencies“. He excluded negative thoughts and included positive ideas and

asked the students to aim high.

Dr. N. VijayAnand, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Botony

addressed the audience. He gave a presentation on the topic “Self-Employment and

financial sources”. He kindly the young minds on the job, self employment

opportunities and showed the path to reach. Mrs. M. Pechiammal, District

Employment Officer proposed vote of thanks and also invited the students for the

free coaching classes of competitive examinations. . Around 300 students attended

this one-day career guidance programme.

The function was held in the college premises at 12.15 pm on 17.01.2018.

Career Guidance Cell of Arumugam Pillai Seethai Ammal College

organized a placement programme on 23.01.2018 jointly with Samarth learning

solutions(SLS) and Tamilnadu Skill development centre for final year students

(both UG and PG).

Dr. A. Susaimanickam, Principal delivered the presidential address. Dr.

GV. Gopinath, Vice Principal felicitated the gathering.

Mr. M. Arunkumar, Vice-President, operation section, SLS delivered the

special address. In his address, he explained vividly the difference between job

and career. He ignited the young minds to dare the dream added that, the students

should choose their career for which they should appraise themselves.

In his address Mr. J. Rajagopalan, Vice-President, Course Director Section,

SLS, gave a clear picture about the corporate field. He stressed that, individual

decision is the criteria to enter the field. He quoted that, life is living not being.

Around 150 students participated in the placement programme. The

placement was conducted in 2 rounds, written test and group discussion and

finally 49 students were selected for the training. Dr. T. Aravalluvan, Associate

Professor, Department of Computer Science delivered vote of thanks.

organized a Campus Interview in the college premises at 10.30 am on

23.02.2018.

IDBI Federal Life Insurance Company, Coimbatore conducted the

interview for final year UG and PG students. 200 Students participated in this

interview.

Dr. A. Susaimanickam, Principal delivered the presidential address. He

congratulated the career guidance cell and students for such a great gathering. A

pre placement talk was given by Miss. K. Mynavathy, IDBI. She gave a brief

introduction about the company and she also mentioned the benefits they may

accrue in their career. The interview was conducted in two different selections,

namely group discussion and personal interview. Finally 63 students were hired.

College tied with District Employment Office, Sivagangai conducted

JOB FAIR in the college premises from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. on

17.03.2018.

Principal Dr. A. Susaimanickam presided over the function.

Mr. K. Ilango, Project Co-Director inaugurated the function.

Mr. Sundaramoorthy, Programme Assistant Project Officer for

Women, delivered the welcome address. Mr. S. Nagarajan, Industry

Inspector and Mr. E. Murugesan, District Pioneer Bank Manager have

explained the government job opportunities and the chances in private

sectors. 23 private companies conducted the interview. Around 500

candidates attended this and 79 candidates were hired.
