School: – Bachelor's or master’s degree in environmental
management, land use planning, or urban planning, with coursework in real estate and business.
Helpful– Work with real estate firms– Work with financial institutions– Prior experience with community
outreach programs
Job Opportunities
Public vs. Private– Aspiring managers can either work for a private company or
a government organization.
Problem – work opportunities rise and fall with the housing market. – New government regulations can have an effect on
managers. i.e. knowing the rules for complex government grants and
subsidies
