Card Template - Slide & Lock Gate Fold Create a fun card that opens in a unique way! Supplies Needed • 4.25” x 11” Basic White Thick cardstock • 4 squares of Basic White 3.5” x 3.5” (or any size) • 1 square piece of DSP 3.25” x 3.25” • 2 pieces of coordinating DSP 2.5” x 4” • 4” x 5.25” cardstock for the inside (optional) Directions 1. Score the 4.25” x 11” Basic White at 2.75” from the short side. Fold on this score line and press with a bone folder. Fold the other short side to meet this fold leaving a 1/16” gap in between. This will allow space for the slide & lock focal point to move up and down. This kind of card opening is called a gate fold card. 2. Take 2 of the 3.5” squares of cardstock and score in the middle at 1.75” each. Press the folds with a bone folder so they lay very Plat. 3. Adhere the two folded squares onto one of the other 3.5” squares. The folded parts of the squares should be butted up against each other in the middle of the square they are being adhered to. 4. Adhere the last 3.5” basic white square on top of the folded squares. 5. Attach the 3.25” square of DSP to the sliding mechanism and decorate/stamp/embellish as desired. 6. Attach the two pieces of 2.5” x 4” DSP to the fronts of the card base. 7. Optional: Attach a neutral piece of cardstock to inside of card. ReallyRobinStamps.com
