    NSS Volunteers ,students, program officer dr. Keval Ukey sir and all chief guests assembled in

    room no. 2 anprogram begin at3:30pm.Vaishali Kolhe-Professor of J J Institute of social science

    ,head of law departmentnitin sir and head of cyber department neeta mam were chief guests.

    Felicitation of all guests was carried out. One of the volunteer begin with introductory speech.

    Dr.Keval Ukey sir gave a short speech explaining the role of youth in Nation development. Then

    the speech was given by Vaishali Kolhe mam regarding self theoriesand about Speciallyabled

    people. A small activity was conductedand students gave their experiences with Speciallyabled

    people. The programme was concluded with national anthem.

  • Tree plantation

    Date: 27/07/19

    Day: Sunday

    No. Of volunteers: 15

    Venue: Aarey colony, unit no.17 , Goregaon(East).

    Hours: 4 hrs.

    All 15 volunteers gathered at Aarey colony at sharp 1 pm . From there we reach at the feild where

    the "Ek Beej , Ek savli " progrma was organised. We all helping them to fill the packets by stonless soil

    and plant the plants in this . With our corporation we had completed about 778 plant saplings .

    This all progarm is conducted in under Mr. Nitin sir , he is the person who started this progarm and

    this is all about to" not only plant the plants but also conserve the plants life".

    This program was ended with vote of thanks by Shreyas and the Nss claps .

  • RED RIBBON CLUB (RRC) WORKSHOP

    Date :-29th July 2019

    Place :- Mumbai District AIDS control society, Acworth complex , R. A. Kidwai marg, Near

    wadala Bridge, Wadala (w).

    All the volunteers gathered at the place at 9:30. The program is

    started at 10.00 am . First the breakfast was served along with tea and after finished breakfast

    the program is started. Dr. Umesh Ghuge sir gave the introduction and welcome speech to the

    all NSS volunteers. Program was conducted in four section.

    Section first related to Anatomy and Physiology took by Dr. Ritika Shilkar ma'am . she first

    explained about HIV , Ritro virus , HIV transmission route etc. She also explained about ARSH

    (Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health) . In this she mentioned four points 1) Physical

    changes 2) Emotional changes 3) Physical development 4)Cognitive development. Also she

    explained in details about male and female reproductive organ ( external and internal genital of

    male and female ) , social and emotional development, menstrual cycle, sexuality , prevention

    of STIs etc .

  • Section second related to HIV/AIDS this section conducted by Dr.Umesh Ghuge Sir. In this

    section he explained about Global Scenario and basic facts of HIV/AIDS , and HIV/AIDS status in

    India ,test for HIV, factor attributed to the spread of HIV ,route of transmission, major signs and

    symptoms of AIDS ,and also show AIDS logo and help line no. etc.

    Section third about MDACS - RRC ( Red Ribbon Club ) took by Dr. Umesh Ghuge sir . In this

    section he gave introduction of RRC and explained about role of RRC, program conducted by

    MDACS, program scheduled of RRC for colleges, and guidance for conducting such program in

    college level.,services provided by MDACS etc. After third section lunch was served .

    Section four related to life skill . In this section ma'am explained about importance and values

    of life . she conducted different activities and tasks . Also she devided all volunteers in

    particular group and gave one topic to each group and said to perform script. This section is full

    of activities and tasks . Between this section tea was served. At the last MDACS team gave

    speech on HIV/AIDS . Program end with flash mob ,jingles, and advertisements shown by RRC.

    RRC T- shirt ,cap and poster were distributed to all NSS volunteers . The program end at sharp

    5:00 pm with ending speech and NSS clap .

    Place:-Azad maidan , Fort, Mumbai .

    All the volunteers assembled at 2:15pm in Azad maidan for Hiroshima day peace

    march. Then one of our volunteers did the registration . The march initiated from Azad

    maidan at 2:30 pm and finally endedat 3:45pmafter which the pledge took place and finally

    the eventcame to anend by nss claps.

    The program was conducted in two slot , morning slot and afternoon slot . 1st

    slot start at 10:00 am ,first shishir joshi sir gave the introduction. Shishir joshi sir , Rupali

    ma'am, Suvedh sir, Sanket Sir all are from project Mumbai . They told about booth polling ad

    how to plan for registration desk. Sayma ma'am from red FM took interview and opinion of

    volunteers as well as whole team of project Mumbai . Chaitanya sir explained in details the

    procedures for registration and required documents also he answered the all questions came

    from volunteers .program end with speech gave by shishir Sir .

  • Today we all had gathered at the Institute of Forensic Science for the celebration of 73rd

    Independence Day along with our NSS program officer Dr. Keval Ukey sir and IOS director sir

    and other faculties and NSS volunteers . Our FY NSS volunteers had made a rangoli depicting

    our tricolour. The program was initiated by the hoisting of our Tricolour at 7:30 am followed by

    the national anthem. After that breakfast was arranged by the canteen staff for all the students

    and faculties and guests . Then we moved to the NSS room for the certificates distribution for

    the work done by our SY NSS volunteers for Big Mumbai clean up ( beach cleaning) . With this our

    Independence Day program ended at 9:00 am.

  • RakhshaBandhan Celebration and Felicitations of Police

    Date – 15th August

    Volunteers of NSS felicitated the police officers. They all gave handmade cards and

    flowers to thank them for their service to the nation.

    Since it was also RakshaBandhan the girls tied rakhi to the policemen. In the end the

    volunteers shared their thoughts and the celebration was concluded.

    Today we nss volunteers went to the workshop of gender equality. Program started at 10 am. Near about 100 volunteers were came from difference colleges.The basic aim of this workshop is

    to explained about gender equality. we discussed about sexual harrassment and how to avoid

    it. Snehal ma’am ,gargi ma’am, vaishnavee ma'am and Akshara teamconducted somegames, Activities, and interactive section. Snehal maam conducted all the program .she

    explained about gender, gender equality, and also biological differences between male and

    female . its more interactive section and also interesting section. The program end at 5:00 pm

    with Nss clap .

    At 1:30pm we all 5 volunteers with program officer Dr. Keval Ukey sir reached at bislery tower , Andheri

    . There was an program conducted by bislery international private lmt. Shreya ma'am was gives us

    information and ideas about how to reuse and recycle plastics and keep our environment clean and

    healthy. Also gives us ideas about what's is a mindset of human for plastics how we can change there

    mindset accordingly.

    3 NSS volunteers were ambassadors for the voter registration drive. Registrations were done

    on NVSP portal and Tracking ID's were given.In two days of drive ambassadors do 14 voter

    registration and also fill up their Google form for project Mumbai.

  • Organ Donation Awareness Rally

    The volunteers assembled at Nariman Point and the rally started at 9:30 am. The volunteers

    carried various banners and posters to spread awareness about organ donation.The students

    reached Grant Medical College Gymkhana where a program was arranged to spread awareness

    about organ donation among people and to felicitate various colleges for their participation in

    the drive. Various dignitaries such as Directorate of Fire Brigade , Diplomats from Israel

    Consulate guided and encouraged people regarding organ donation. The program ended at

    1:30 pm with vote of thanks and National Anthem.

    All four volunteers from SYBSc reached the venue at 4pm. The event started at 4:15pm.The

    Vivekanand for India in Chicago. All Eight guests gave their valuable words on life story of

    Swami Vivekanand. Chief guest Bhagat Singh Koshyari The Governor of Maharashtra also

    express his valuable words on Swami Vivekanand. After all the speech was done then a short

    play was there on life of Swami Vivekanand. The program ended with National Anthem.

  • FILM SCREENING ON WOMEN'S MOBILITY

    Akshara foundation organized short film screening on

    women's mobility. The event start at shap 2:00 pm. Akshara team and their leaders explained

    about the gender equality, restrictions on women's, and how society and family prevents the

    women's from their freedom. Snehal ma'am, Gargi ma'am, and vaishnvee ma'am conducted

    the event . They asked some questions and also clear all the doubts. They show us short film

    screening on women's mobility and also explained us how to conduct this short film screening

    in college campus . After the ending of short film refreshment also provided . The program end

    at 5:00 pm.

    for T-shirt painting was Educating Girl Child.Registration was done and white T-shirts were distributed

    amount volunteers.Time of 2hours was allocated for T-shirt painting.It was started at 10am and ended

    at 12pm. After that,speech was given by Principal and Vice Principal of Kirti College.Then all volunteers

    came forward one by one to explain the meaning of their painting on T-shirt.Snacks are provided to

    everyone.Group photos were taken and the programme was concluded

    NSS Volunteers from various colleges assembled at Kirti M.Doongursee college Dadar at

    10.30am for participating in today's rally as a part of celebrating 50 years of NSS.

    Volunteers participated in the rally to spread awareness on the topic 'Save Environment

    and Save Trees'.Volunteers made posters and displayed the same. Rally was conducted for 2

    hrs and chanted slogans and jingles to spread the message far and wide. Rally got ended at

    1pm and after that snacks were provided for everyone.

  • SWACCHTA AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

    Venue : Churchgate Railway station , Oval maidan.

    NSS volunteers of Institute of Forensic Science college performed a Street Play on the topic

    of Swacchta Awareness Campaign on 27th of September 2019 at 2:30 pm near the Churchgate

    railway station.

    They tried to spread awareness about the harmful effects of plastic used by everyone and

    litter that is thrown at public places like roads and railway tracks rather than dustbins. They

    depicted 3 scenes showing vendors who still use plastic bags for selling vegetables , people

    throwing waste on railway tracks and some people spitting in public places and spreading

    waste. The program ended with a pledge of not using plastic and not letting anyone use it

    followed by NSS claps and a group photo.

  • GENDER SENSITIZATION

    The NSS unit of Institute of forensic science organised a session on Gender Sensitization. The

    volunteers were given papers and they had to write the comments they’ve received, the

    restrictions on them, the problems they faced in the society. This was done anonymously.The

    chits were read aloud and there was discussion on the same. The volunteers talked about the

    common problems which mostly girls faced. The small interaction session concluded with

    suggesting solutions.

    The volunteers of NSS unit of Institute of forensic science participated in the “poshan“ rally

    organised by the Bal Vikas prakalp Adhikari based in Dharavi, Mumbai. The rally was carried out

    with the aim to spread awareness about the importance of nutrition in children in their growing

    years. The rally started at CST and ended near Mantralaya. Pamphlets stating information regarding

    nutrition were distributed among people. To end this event on a positive note, a closing ceremony

    was conducted in an auditorium.

    addiction” rally. The rally was carried out with the aim to spread awareness about the

    addiction of drugs .The rally started at Azad Maidan and ended at Gate Way of India

    .Posters of de-addiction are distributed among the students. The rally was ended at

    Gate Way of India with the songs of de-addiction.

    Today, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti ,bhajan -sandhya wasorganized at Gate way of India.

    The program started at 4.00pm by Paying homage to the idol of Mahatma Gandhi &Lal-bahadur

    shastri by the head of the state NSS unit sir,Atul salunkhe.The NSSUnit of all colleges thatfall

    under the Mumbai university hadactively participated in the event.

    The Bhajan-sandhya had started and aglimpse of Gandhi’s journey was portrayed.Songs like

    ‘Raghupati raghav Rajya Ram’were sung.All volunteers payed keenattention towards the

    speechesand at last tooka pledge of spreading awareness onimportantance of Voting. The

    program had successfully ended by singingthe National Anthem. All volunteers shouted out

    breath taking slogans at the end thereby ending the program at about 7:30pm.

    Today,on the ocassion of gandhi jayanti cleanliness campaign was held in Institute of

    forensic science,Mumbai by NSS unit.The programme started at 10:30am by paying homage to

    the idol of Mahatma Gandhi on his 151th anniversary and Lal bahadur shastri.The director

    Dr.Jairam khobragade ,teaching staff ,non teaching staff and nss volunteers were present in the

    programme.After homage under Swatchh bharat abhiyan program the college campus cleaning,

    classrooms cleaning was done by nss volunteers , teaching staff and non teaching staff in which

    everyone involved actively.The campaign ended at 12:30pm by nss clap.

    women's mobility . The program start at 11:00am with registration of students. Two volunteers

    how women's are restricted by family , society and others relatives. Then the short films related

    to women's Mobility was shown .

    After finishing the shot films they asked some questions to students

    and also gave answers to their questions and clear their doubts .This is an interactive sectio.

    The event started with a dance performance and then lighting ceremony took place. Then a

    very motivational speech was given by one of the volunteers of the event about animals and

    how we must protect them by celebrating this meatless day. Then competitions were held such

    as cooking,nest making and streetplay. Then later prizes were distributed to the winners of

    these competitions. The event ended by 4:00pm.

    the degree holders were went back along with the march pass and then the refreshment were

    Venue –KPB Hinduja College All the volunteers reached the venue at 8:00 am and registered for the event. The event started at 9:00

    am. After the inauguration ceremony ended, an interactive session was conducted by Ms. Shreya Joshi

    on the topic- Gender sensitization.After the session,breakfast was served to the volunteers.The next

    session was a lecture/ presentation that started at 11:00 am on the topic Right to information by Adv.

    Arjun Kadam followed by another session by him on the topic- Sexual Harassment at workplace. The

    session ended at 1:00 pm.The lunch started at 1:00 pm and went on till 2:30 pm. The last session and

    highlight of the day, Disaster Management demonstration by Mr.DharmendraMadhav,Deputy Chief

    Controller,started at 2:30 pm. He delivered a lecture on Disaster management, it's types and specifically

    focusedon fire. After the session,he demonstrated first aid at the disaster scene in am interactive

    session followed by demonstration of extinguishing the fire. The workshop ended at 5: 00 pm with the

    vote of thanks and certificates distribution.

  • Blood donation camp

    Date - 2/01/2020

    No.of hours - 7 hr.

    Place - chruchgate railway station

    All volunteers reached chruchgate station at 9:30 Am . The event was started at 10 am. First of all, Anil

    Ghare sir gave the information about blood and also told us how to explain the importance of blood

    donation and communicate with people .After the orientation, all volunteers dispersed at chruchgate

    station in search of blood donors for the noble cause in pairs. And every pair found the donors. The

    volunteers convinced the crowd for blood donation. The volunteers convinced 132 donors for blood

    donation. The event ended successfully with the volunteers felicitation by the sponsors of blood

    donation.

  • Road Safety week

    Date: January 13, 2020 Venue: Gate 3, NCPA, Nariman point Number of volunteers: 41 Number of hours: Time: 7:45 AM The NSS volunteers of Institute of forensic science assembled in front of the NCPA Gate 3 by 7:45. The event began by 8 AM. The volunteers were instructed to make a human chain on the marine drive. Slogans like “No honking, road safety” were read out loud by the volunteers to spread awareness about road safety. After this, the volunteers were assembled in the NCPA auditorium. Various bus drivers, police officers and traffic policemen were felicitated and appreciated for their good deeds as they saved many lives. The Chief minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Uddhav Thackeray was also present at the event. National anthem was sung by everyone

  • Road Safety –TogetherVCAN's Social Sanchar

    Venue –Rayal Bombay Yatch Club All volunteers reached the venue at 3:50 pm . The event started at 4 pm. The session was also being

    telecast live.It started with an introductory note by Indrani Malkani ,Chairman of VCAN, as she

    introduced Shri Madhukar Pandey, IPS, Jt. Commissioner of Police, Traffic . He shared his stand on traffic

    laws and the role of citizens in maintaining safety. This was followed by a Q&A session. Questions were

    taken from the audience as well as from the viewers tweeting online. The audience shared there

    suggestions regarding road safety laws while also pointing out problems like the rash drivers and bikers

    performing stunts on roads as well as hawkers forcing the public to jaywalk. The event ended

    successfully with the felicitation of the esteemed guests. Snacks were offered to volunteers and all

    guests.
