FilterMax DX is a module-built high capacityfilter for dry dust. The filter is designed forworking environments that demand explosionprotection. Each module has an airflow capacityof 3,600 m3/h and up to three modules can becombined for a total flow of 10,800 m3/h. Forlarger flows, several FilterMax DX units can beused in parallel.

FilterMax DX has a strengthened chassiswith double earthing and an explosion reliefpanel. It is also equipped with Nederman’sunique pulse-jet system for filter cleaning.

The FilterMax DX is one of the products inNederman’s Dustline series together withextraction arms and fans for explosiveenvironments.

FilterMax DX for filtering explNederman Dustline is a series of productsspecially designed for working environmentswhere dry dust occurs. You capture thehazardous dust before it reaches theoperator’s breathing zone and filter the airbefore releasing it again. This is the rightsolution for your staff, your company and theenvironment.

A good working environment contributesto greater efficiency with fewer operationaldisturbances and less maintenance.

The FilterMax DX is designed forindustrial handling of dry dust. With itssturdy design, smooth interior surfaces,optimised angles of repose and digitalmonitoring, the filter fulfils stringentdemands for continuous operation andeffective filtering.

Automatic cleaningTo simplify use and guarantee optimumperformance, FilterMax DX is equipped withNederman’s automatic cleaning system.

The pulse-jet system shoots short,powerful jets of air into the filter cartridges.The dirt is released from the filter surfaceand falls down into a container. The pulse-jetsystem cleans the filter cartridges insequence while the filter is in operation.

The FilterMax DX can also be cleanedafter operation if so desired.

osive dustThe FilterMax DX cartridge is a highperformance filter with a compactdesign. Open filter pleats optimise thecleaning effect even for large particlesizes. The filter cartridge is made from100% polyester with a conductivealuminium layer to ensure that staticelectricity does not build up on thecartridge.

The cartridges are easy to dismount andcan be washed in water.

Filtering efficiency:> 99%, separation by weight(BIA class C)

Filtering principle

The unique pulse-jet system has acontrol box for automatic cleaning of thecartridges in sequence. Cleaningintensity is adjustable depending onapplication.

A powerful shockwave passesthrough the filter cartridges duringcleaning. This dislodges the dust fromthe filter surface and the air streamfollowing behind allows the dust to falloff into the container.

The pulse-jet cleaning system

A waste bag with a sealing ring issupplied with FilterMax DX exchangecartridges for safe, dust-free filterchanging.

The blowpipe with laser cut slotsgenerates a uniform, quiet cleaningpulse, which provides effective, evencleaning.

Installing Nederman Dustline

RecommendationsRecommendations

To avoid pressure losses and dust deposits in the system

it is important to use the correct duct diameter. The

transport velocity must be at least 15-20 m/s. Take

velocity into account when choosing the duct diameters.

The velocity must never decrease in the system to the

FilterMax. Use only large radius bends with 30° branches.

In some cases it is necessary to install en explosion-safe

damper in the duct to prevent the spreading of explosions.
