Captains for a CURE fundraiser & auction will be held on Saturday,
September 14th, 2019 hosted by Fremont Mischief Distillery, Cameron
Catering, Trident Seafoods and five of your favorite Deadliest Catch* Captains all with the goal of raising $250,000 for APDA! These captains are
giving their time and energy to honor their friend and hero, Chuck
Bundrant, founder and owner of Trident Seafoods, who was instrumental in helping them and many more get started in the fishing industry. Chuck
has been living an active life full of hope and optimism despite the
struggles he faces with an atypical form of Parkinson’s disease, PSP.
Funds raised will enable APDA to continue providing information,
education, and support to those impacted by PD, and fund scientific
research into the causes, prevention, treatments and ultimately the cure. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Your Sponsorship Dollars at Work ____________________________________________________________________________________
Funds raised at Captains for a CURE will be used for local
education programs, support services, and research.
Your sponsorship will help fund education programs such as Good Start for newly diagnosed, Take Control
series, and Education is Empowerment and Live Well
symposiums. Your sponsorship will help train volunteer support group leaders, deliver vital information and
resources to people impacted by PD and support groups
across the Northwest, and fund patient aid programs
like Ride Repay and Caregiver’s Day Off. Your
sponsorship will help fund promising scientific research,
focused on the discovery of the cause(s) and finding the
cure for Parkinson’s disease.
APDA Mission:
Every day, we provide the support, education, and research that will help everyone impacted by Parkinson’s
disease live life to the fullest.
About APDA:
The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) was
founded in New York in 1961 with the dual purpose of supporting people living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and
funding research that will lead to a cure. In that time, APDA
has invested more than $49 million to support scientific research designed to unlock the mysteries of Parkinson’s and
ultimately put an end to this disease, while at the same time
providing patient services, education and elevating public awareness. As the country's largest Parkinson's grassroots
organization, APDA aims to support more than one million
Americans with Parkinson's disease and their families
through a nationwide network of Chapters, Information and Referral (I&R) Centers, and support groups. APDA pursues its
efforts to find a cure by funding Centers for Advanced
Research and awarding grants to fund the most promising research toward discovering the cause(s) and the cure for
Parkinson's disease.
About APDA, Northwest Chapter: APDA Northwest serves thousands of people living with Parkinson’s disease in Washington, Oregon, Alaska,
Idaho, and Montana. APDA’s energy is focused on patient services, education, raising public awareness and
funding research. We fulfill our mission locally by educating and empowering those in our community challenged
with Parkinson’s by promoting hope and optimism through innovative services and programs, and funding vital local and national research. This dual mission of helping people live better today while also fighting for a better
life tomorrow, is unique.
