Captain Perry C. Conner, SC, USN (Ret.), 95, passed away on July 28. A Celebration of Life was held on 18 August at the Sportsmen's Park at Rossmoor, CA. CAPT Conner retired 1 October 1960 at the Naval Supply Center, Oakland after more than 20 years of active naval service. Born on 24 October 1917 in Los Angeles, Calif., he was appointed an ensign in the inactive Naval Reserve in July 1940. In October 1940 he transferred to the Regular Navy and reported for active duty. Duty assignments included the Naval Finance and Supply School, Philadelphia; USS SARATOGA; Aviation Supply Annex, NSD Oakland; USS HAMLIN; under instruction at Harvard Business School; Navy Ship's Store Office, New York; Headquarters, Eleventh Naval District; BuSandA; NSC Pearl Harbor; ESO Great Lakes; under instruction at the Naval War College, Newport; and NSC Oakland.
