The Capitals Golf Club has captured top honors in the 2007 Golf Inc.Development of the Year contest. The Capitals Golf Club was judged the winner in the International Division.

The Golf Course The 71 par Course was established on a hilly territory 145 hectares

and has 18 holes. The territory contains four natural lakes, four ponds and 67 sand bunkers. The Course was designed by the world famous architect of golf courses, Peter Chamberlain. Approximately 70 per-cent of the area is a part of the Pipiriškių Geomorphologic Reserve – the state protected territory that aims preserving relief of Easter Lithuania.

To ensure the optimal quality of the game special attention was given to green and tee construction on the Course, as well as drainage.

To satisfy the needs of private people and businesses the build-ings of the Club are located in a high central position. Free space is reserved next to the Club House for bigger events.

The Driving Range and the Tees One and Ten are conveniently located (close to the Club House and parking lots).

The Golf Course was planned and established considering all en-vironment, ecological and landscape aspects. It was of a great impor-tance to ensure that the Golf Course would have a positive impact on the environment within the territory. A number of environmental im-provement projects were designed and implemented for this purpose.
