Sophie Laverdiere reining clinic 2009 Redwood Stables hosted a clinic on the Easter weekend with Sophie

Laverdiere from Quebec. This was our 6th annual clinic here at RS wiith Sophie. There were 12 participants and most of them have continued

with Sophies program throughout each year and it has made it very

easy for them to fully understand how to maintain and improve their

horses reining manuevers. Friday we had a potluck in the evening, Saturday we all went out for laughs and supper, Sunday night we were

able to watch videos of everyones rides and pizza, thanks to Marg and

Clifford Morrison. I would like to thank everyone for their help with this

clinic. We are looking foreward to another clinic maybe as soon as July with

Sophie.

On May 30th we plan a fun show here at Redwood. Same as last year

with pleasure and kids classes in the AM and some reining patterns in the afternoon. We may even do the roundbale barrel race again as

well.Everyone is welcome, you can contact Mona Lewis.

April 26th, Sunday afternoon we will be running reining patterns and

learning how to score and show reining. I also would like to take this opportunity to thank all my girls and Bill LeBlanc for "kickin' in" while I

was on the mend , I don't know what we would have done without all

your help looking after all the ponies. Thanks and bless you.

Remember: I wouldn't rub my braids if they didn't make me look like a dork 5. If you must wash under my tail, lay off the cold rinse 6. When taking me to a show, don't let Dad drive as fast as Mario Andretti and weave in and out of traffic

Do to the June 27 & 28 show being on grading day,

the show will be delayed in starting until 10 am. In

doing so we will NOT be waiting for people not

ready for there classes, so make sure you are ready

and on time. We will still allow for tack changes,

however, we will be limiting the time so make sure

you have all hands on deck to help with the change.

Notice to All Members

At the last show I received complaints from some

standard bred people stating they were being told that

they were not allowed to walk through the barns due

to insurance reasons. This only pertains to their

horses, not the people. If there is ever a problem with

a horseperson please find me and I will deal with the

issue.
