• Telecons and meetings– Meetings are difficult to support; regular

telecons were agreed in 2006– Task linkages and synergies remain to be

identified (for most committees)– Next CBC meetings to be co-ordinated with co-

chair co-ordination and other large meetings

GEO Portal

• An excellent tool to serve human, institutional and infrastructure CB activities in all SBAs

• Top-level CB “requirements” are being drafted to enable access to:– EO education, training and software resources– Info on CB standards and best practise – CB co-ordination networks and expertise– Means to identify needs and match them to available

funding– CB outreach materials, etc

• CBC task liaison: Gordan Bridge (EUMETSAT)

GEONETCast• An example of infrastructure and human

capacity building; need for institutional CB?• Can the CBC assist the ADC with

GEONETCast? e.g. – Identifying CB needs of GEONETCast users– Finding donors for infrastructure provision and

training– Provision of open source software and open

courseware for dissemination– Etc…
