About ATP

The original business was established in 1985 and over this time has developed extensive expertise in fire and gas detection, aspirated smoke detection, fire suppression and hazardous area wireless communication systems.

ATP operates primarily within the Oil and Gas, Mining and Industrial sectors and has established itself as a supplier of choice when the solutions does not just “come in a box”. Our considerable experience and levels of expertise enables the company to provide design, engineer, manufacture, test and commission including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in our facility.

In addition ATP provides onsite Integrated Factory Acceptance Testing (IFAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and commissioning services as well as providing appropriate specific documentation.

More recent projects undertaken by ATP include field production facilities, onshore LNG facilities, mining and resource recovery facilities, rail systems and major infrastructure including power generation facilities.

ATP is an ISO 9001 accredited organisation and has a purpose built office/warehouse/manufacturing facility at Belmont, Western Australia. This facility has been specifically tailored to meet all aspects of major project execution including – design, engineering, fabrication, FAT, along with comprehensive staff and client training facilities.

Key People

Jon has in excess of 30 years within the fire industry including over 10 years with ATP and holds a number of relevant industry memberships.Jon’s extensive experience both nationally and internationally enables him to find solutions to complex problems in all areas of fire system design.

ATP is in the enviable position where most of our key personnel are long term employees.

Paul is the most recent addition to the ATP team. With a Bachelor of Business studies and vast experience within a variety of related industries he holds responsibility for all operational areas of ATP including finance, procurement, HR and production.

Devin has been with ATP in excess of 20 years and has extensive relationships within the fire industry and the broader business community. He has “grown up” with the business, starting out “on the tools” and is now responsible for all aspects of the business with a focus on business and relationship development.

Rowland is a qualified TUV Certified Functional Safety Instrument Engineer with 20 year’s experience in both the design, manufacturing and commissioning of safety & control systems, specialising in fire & gas and emergency systems for both onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.

Another long term employee Joeven has extensive international experience in the fire industry and has obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic and Communications) and is an Affiliate member of the Institute of Fire Engineers. With excellent practical experience in fire protection and safety system design and implementation. Joeven is an excellent resource for the ATP team.

Cory has in excess of 15 years within the fire industry including over 10 years with ATP. An excellent resource with vast experience in designing and implementing advanced and sophisticated fire systems and has worked both nationally and internationally on high profile blue chip projects.

Procurement

ATP is able to ensure the continued support and availability of the products it represents due to the long-term, strong relationships with all our key suppliers enabling the company to provide cost savings on high quality products, systems and engineered services.

This is achieved by utilising internationally approved and recognised brands that are either manufactured or assembled in Australia, UK, USA, Europe or Canada. ATP also carries a wide variety of critical products locally in each of its offices reducing project downtime.

Design and Pre-engineered Calculations

ATP has the capability to provide a number of system specific calculations to support the engineering process for projects, these include Chemical and Inert Agent Fire Suppression Systems, CFD ASPIRE calculations for the VESDA Aspirated Smoke Detection Systems, loop calculations for Analogue Addressable Loop Smoke Detection Systems and battery calculations for the Fire Alarm Systems.

Commissioning and Handover

ATP’s Commissioning Engineers can work through a projects pre commissioning, final commissioning and handover stages to guarantee that equipment is installed correctly and commissioned as per Australian and International standards to ensure maximum life and reliable operability.Documentation of this process is extensive and above and beyond the requirements of the Australian Standards. ATP believes that project documentation is one of the most crucial parts of the process within any new or refurbishment project.

Over the past 30 years ATP has continued to develop high level safety systems, procedures and protocols to ensure we continuously achieve our rigorous zero harm objectives.

Gorgon LNG ProjectFire & Gas Detection & Suppression Systems for the complete Camp, Operations & TCF including Ex Telephone Systems, Junction Boxes, Security System CCTV & Access Control Interfaces including design, assembly, documentation, FAT, SIT & SAT.

Wheatstone LNGFire systems configuration, programming and site support, kitchen Hood Suppression System including design, documentation & SAT.
