At the meeting, residents will elect three (3) directors to the Board. Two 3-year and one 2- year positions are to be filled. TURN THOSE CLOCKS FORWARD On Sunday, March 10, Daylight Savings Time begins. Turn your clocks forward one hour. A REQUEST FROM THE TRASH MAN The Tuesday trash man asked if residents could assist him in being more efficient and in keeping the community litter free: - At the curb, put all the recycle bins together and all the trash cans together to avoid missing any recycling bins hidden from view. recycle, recycle, recycle, recycle - trash, trash, trash, trash - If you are using a non-Republic blue in container for recycling, label it “RECYCLING” - Bag all trash in your trash can. This keeps debris from flying to the ground or into the ponds. - Plastic bags of trash will not be picked up. All trash must be in a container. MORE TRASH ASSISTANCE Now that the snow is melting, it has become apparent that drivers who use Stonefield Drive as a cut through or short cut to other neighborhoods, believe that it is a good place to throw their trash! In just one litter-gathering trip, 3 beer bottles, 1 beer can, and multiple fast food wrappers and cups were collected. If you walk in that area, please consider putting a plastic grocery bag in your pocket, pick up the litter, and help keep the entrance to our neighborhood clean and attractive. SPRING FORWARDBOARD CANDIDATES SOUGHT

As required by law, the Villas at Canterbury Woods Condominium Association will hold its ANNUAL OWNERS MEETING on MAY 14, 2019 AT 6:30PM.

At the meeting, residents will elect three (3) directors to the Board. Two 3-year and one 2-year positions are to be filled. If any owner is interested in running, please contact Amanda Hagans at CMOC and provide a resume for the community's consideration.

TURN THOSE CLOCKS FORWARD On Sunday, March 10, Daylight Savings Time begins.

Turn your clocks forward one hour.

A REQUEST FROM THE TRASH MAN The Tuesday trash man asked if residents could assist him in being more efficient and inkeeping the community litter free:

- At the curb, put all the recycle bins together and all the trash cans together to avoid missing any recycling bins hidden from view.

Page 2UPCOMING COMMUNITY PROJECTS

1. The Board has authorized a new Reserve Study to be done. The study is an examination and evaluation of the community infrastructure and association funding. It will provide cost projections and useful information to the Board when considering major projects in the future.

2. The Board has also secured the services of Feazel roofing to provide a “tune-up” of all our roofs. There have been a number of roof leaks this winter and this tune-up will include minor roof repairs and recommendations.

Important to Kingsmead Residents3. Thirty (30) residents on Kingsmead Road will be getting new mailboxes. The boxes

are scheduled to be installed the week of March 18th. Monday, March 25 is a suggested restart date. Be sure to stop your mail with the post office as directed by Amanda's letter of February 19. Any mail delivered will halt the project.

EMERGENCY CONTACTS

Many Canterbury residents live alone, some are not alone, but everyone has family or friends near by on which to call for assistance. If an emergency should occur, it is most necessary that the community manager and/or Molly Gibson (614-882-5575) be made aware of someone who could be of assistance. Please fill out the form for “Emergency Contacts” sent in early December by CMOC, and send it back to Amanda as soon as possible. If you no longer have the form, call Amanda to give her this vital information. It would be a comfort to family and friends, as well as your neighbors, to know that the proper parties have been notified.

YOU CALL---WE'LL INSTALL

If your in-home smoke detectors are more than 10 years, they need to be replaced. The Westerville Division of Fire will install your new smoke detectors free of charge. The Canterbury Woods condos are equipped with hard-wired, battery backup detectors. The first step is to purchase new hard-wired, battery back up detectors. Home Depot has a package offour for a reasonable price, or they can be purchased at any hardware or home improvement store. Then call the Westerville Division of Fire at 614-901-6600 to schedule your appointment. A team member will visit your home and install your new smoke detectors free of charge. It is also suggested that the back-up batteries be changed at least once a year. Give yourself the gift of peace of mind knowing that your smoke detectors are functioning properly.

CorrectionThe phone number for the Women's Group contact, Sue Ellen Dailey, is 614-882-4413.

SERVING OUR SENIORS DAY Saturday, March 23, 9a.m.-12 noon

Westerville South High School.

Education will cover a variety of topics of particular interest to seniors. Experts will be on handto answer questions and provide helpful information. There will be door prizes and lunch is free!

MICE! EEK!Many Canterbury Woods residents are experiencing an abrupt infestation of mice. The rise in the mouse population is very likely is due to the disturbance of the land to the west of our property. Another likely cause is that residents are violating the “Do not feed the birds” or other wildlife rule. The birds may love the feed, but they drop seed on the ground and that draws vermin. The elimination of mice is costing individual residents (interior) and the Association (exterior) hundreds of dollars! If you are aware of such violations, please call Amanda at 614-488-7711, ext 262.

PET OWNER REMINDERIf you are a dog owner, please clean up after your pet. If you don't, someone else has to do it! Please be a good neighbor or you may find a violation letter in your mailbox. If you observea non-resident walking their dog in our community and not cleaning up after their pet, remind them: 1) that this is private property, and 2) that it is a city ordinance that they must clean up after their pets

CONGRATULATIONS!Between January 1st and February 4th of this year, the generous residents of Canterbury Woods donated 76 lbs of non-perishable food to Westerville Area Resource Ministry. Why notput an item or two in the bins in the clubhouse lobby to help feed the less fortunate in Westerville? Thanks to Dick Beard for regularly delivering our donations to WARM.
