CANEBRAKE OWNERS ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOMINEES

Canebrake Board’s Nominating Committee, composed of Robert Donnell, Chairman, Randy Price and Joe Ball,

has nominated the following nominees to serve as the Canebrake Board of Directors for the coming year.

Please review the bios of the proposed nominees. This slate includes seven members of the current board who

have served the past year, and two new members. It reflects six board members from the original community and three

from the golf community. All the nominees are well qualified and committed to maintain Canebrake standards.

MAJOR GENERAL (R) BUFF BLOUNT retired from the Army after a 33-year distinguished career,

the highlight being commanding the 3rd Infantry Division when they lead the Army’s attack into Iraq and seized Baghdad.

After the Army, General Blount was Co-founder and Chairman of Mav6, a technology focused defense company from

2007-2015, has worked with Southern Miss and is currently Chairman of Civil-Military Innovation Institute, CEO of Blount

Consulting and also serves on several boards. His undergraduate degree is from Southern Miss and Master Degree from

the Naval War College. General Blount and his wife Anita moved from Washington DC to Canebrake in January 2005.

DALE SAULTERS is a retired Hospital Administrator/CEO. He served 36 years as CEO of three

Mississippi Hospitals, the last being Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi, where he served 24 years. He is a

graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi, with a degree in Business Administration. He has served as Chairman

of the Board of Governors of the Mississippi Hospital Association, and also Healthcare Providers Insurance Company. He

is a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from the Mississippi Army National Guard with a retired rank of Brigadier General. He

is married to the former Sherry D. Dyess and has two daughters, one of which also lives in Canebrake, and four

grandchildren. He has lived in the Canebrake Golf Community since 2011. Dale has managed up to 250 employees, with

an annual operating budget of $38,000,000.

ROBERT DONNELL III owns a CPA Firm providing Tax, Accounting and Family Office Services. Under the broad umbrella of Family Office services, both business and personal; clients enjoy investment oversight, asset management, and other quality corporate holding company and support services to privately owned businesses and their owners. He currently operates locations in Columbia, Hattiesburg, and New Orleans. Robert is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Robert is an avid and committed supporter of his State and his community. Robert enlisted in the Mississippi Army National Guard in 1988. His unit was activated and he served during the First Persian Gulf War. He was later commissioned in 1992 as a Finance Officer and served in various positions including Finance & Accounting Officer at Camp Shelby, MS, Commander of the 220th Finance Detachment in Raymond, MS, and Executive Officer of U.S. Selective Service Detachment in Jackson, MS. After reaching retirement age and while living in Columbia, MS; Robert was elected to two terms as Alderman Ward 2 in the City.

Robert has also remained involved with, and loyal to, his Alma mater, The University of Southern Mississippi. Robert received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from USM. He is a past member of the USM Foundation's Investment Committee and Board of Directors from 2003 - 2006. In 2015, Robert began his second term as a member of the USM Foundation's Board of Directors and Investment Committee. Robert is married to Virginia (Gin) Smith Donnell from Greenville, MS. Robert and Gin are active members of First Baptist Church of Hattiesburg.

DR. AMANDA ELAINE DAHO-HABEEB is married to

Dr. Daniel Habeeb, a Nephrologist with Hattiesburg Clinic. She received her B.S. at Mississippi College in Clinton and her

M.S. in Microbiology/Biochemistry at Mississippi State University.

She received her D.O. at University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr.

Habeeb did her post graduate training residency in Internal Medicine at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis,

Missouri. She currently works as an Internist/Hospitalist at Forrest General Hospital for Hattiesburg Clinic. She is

Catholic and attends St. Thomas Catholic Church. She served on the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Committee and is past

president and secretary-treasurer of South Mississippi Medical Alliance. She is past president and past secretary-

treasurer of South Mississippi Medical Society and serves as a delegate to the Mississippi State Medical Association. She

works on the Art for Heart Committee – past silent auction chairman, the United Way Grand Donor Committee, and St.

Thomas Catholic Church Silent Auction Chairman for the Irish-Italian Festival. As a hobby, Dr. Daho-Habeeb designs

jewelry under the name "Amanda Habeeb" that is located in various boutiques in Hattiesburg.

LEIGH AGNEW, with husband Alex and sons Lex and William, has lived in Canebrake since 1997. She is a CPA currently working as the Chief Financial Officer for Vendorin LLC. Leigh previously worked eight years in the tax department of Topp McWhorter Harvey and prior to that as the Treasurer for Sacred Heart Catholic School. She attends Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Fabian Catholic Church where she currently serves in the Altar Society. Leigh has previously served on the Finance and Administration committee for Sacred Heart Catholic Church, on the Sacred Heart School Advisory Board, as an officer in the Sacred Heart Catholic School Athletic Booster Club and an officer in the Sacred Heart School PTO.

Leigh’s primary concern is keeping Canebrake a neighborhood that is beautiful and safe through the enforcement of the Canebrake covenants. She believes that the covenants were thoughtfully written to maintain property values and provide a high quality of life for Canebrake residents. Leigh wants all property owners to enjoy walking on the trails, playing tennis on the courts and swimming in the pools and lakes as her family has done for the past 19 years.

JONNA PETERS is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in

nursing. She has worked at Forrest General Hospital for the past 20 plus years and is currently the Clinical

Documentation Improvement Coordinator. She is married to Eric Peters (who is an Epic supervisor at Forrest

General). They have one child, Alexis, who is a sophomore at USM and is an active member/officer in Tri Delta

Sorority. Jonna is the daughter of Judy Goldman and daughter in-law of Dr. Bill and Karen Peters all of Hattiesburg. She

and her family attend Venture church. The Peters family has lived at 7 Moss point for the past 4 and ½ years. She brings

with her experience in establishing a previous homeowner’s association where she served as treasurer. Her hobbies

include gardening as well as arts and crafts.

DAVID SHEMPER, as a native of Hattiesburg, Shemper has been a resident of Canebrake since

2004. After moving back to Hattiesburg from Chicago in 2001, David joined his family in the scrap metal business and

helped manage the sale of their 102-year old business some six years later to privately held Alter Trading Corp. After

nearly eleven years with Alter, David started his own scrap metal brokerage company choosing to stay in the industry

three generations of his family were in before him. David and his wife Teejay (Riley) have a 11-year old son (Aidan) and

an 9-year old daughter (Livia) who both attend Benedict Day School nearby on Highway 589. Currently serving as

Treasurer and part-time Religious School teacher at Congregation B’nai Israel here in Hattiesburg, David is a founding

member of the Metal Recycler’s Association of Mississippi (MRAM) where he remains actively involved today. He

recently completed multi-year service as a board member of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling

Industries (ISRI). In his spare time, David enjoys traveling with his wife and children.

CHARLES E. GREER V is a lifelong Mississippian, being born in Hattiesburg on May 25, 1975. He attained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1997. While at Southern, Charles also attained his Masters in Business Administration in 2000. During his master’s program, Charles was President of the Graduate Business Association and was a member of the Business Student Advisory Council. Upon graduation from the MBA program, Charles enrolled in law school at Mississippi College School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2003. During law school, Charles was awarded “Best Paper” in Secured Transactions and was published with Mark Chinn in the Family Advocate, A practical journal by the ABA Family Law Section, Vol. 24, No. 3, Winter 2002 (Prenuptial Prerequisites: The 4 essential elements of an inviolable agreement). Charles was admitted to the Mississippi bar in 2003 and is currently licensed to practice law in all of the state and federal courts in Mississippi. Charles is with Greer Law Firm, PLLC, with offices in Hattiesburg and Ellisville, where he has a general practice, specializing in the areas of residential and commercial real estate transactions, foreclosures, business law and estates.

It is achieved only after an attorney has been reviewed and recommended by their peers – members of the bar and the judiciary. Charles is also a Mississippi licensed real estate broker.

OWEN H. MUNTON has been a resident of Canebrake since 2004. He resides on Montclaire in the Canebrake Golf Community. Munton is a graduate of Hattiesburg High School, Mississippi State University’s College of Business and Industry and of The Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He is a mortgage banking industry veteran and currently serves as the Regional Mortgage Production Manager for Hancock Whitney Bank. Munton has been nationally recognized as an industry leader in mortgage banking. He holds several industry certifications and has served on several committees of the Mortgage Bankers Association and other industry associations. Munton has previously worked with a major telecommunications company and spearheaded a few small businesses.

Munton is a dedicated husband to Erin, proud father of two sons, Andrew and Sam, and a companion of Ralphie the Golden Retriever. Munton has been active in the Hattiesburg Youth Soccer Association as a commissioner and coach. He has been a coach with Hattiesburg Dixie Youth Baseball, a Den Leader and active participant of the Cub Scouts. Munton’s parents, G. Richard “Dick” Munton and Wanda Munton, have been long time Canebrake residents and active participants with the Canebrake Homeowner’s Association. Munton views Canebrake as the premier neighborhood in South Mississippi.
