IL SISTEMA DI IMBOTTITI AIR, ultimo nato in casa LAGO, trova nella trasformabilità la sua vera forza. Gli schienali e i cuscini delle sedute sono completamente intercambiabili, regalando così un volto sempre nuovo al divano. È una rivoluzione in termini spaziali ed estetici, ma anche ergonomici: ognuno può scegliere la profondità della seduta e l’altezza dello schienale che più soddisfano. Le gambe in vetro contribuiscono a rendere l’imbottito estremamente aereo, conferendo ulteriore leggerezza all’ambiente nel quale viene inserito.

THE AIR UPHOLSTERY SYSTEM, the latest LAGO brainchild, finds its real strength in its ability to be transformed. The backs and the seat cushions are completely interchangeable, thus giving the sofa a new face at all times. It’s a revolution in both spatial and aesthetic terms, but also from the ergonomic point of view: anybody can choose the depth of the seats and the height of backs he/she likes the most. The glass legs contribute to transforming the upholstery into something extremely aerial, giving further lightness to the environment where it is placed.

LE SYSTÈME DES REMBOURRÉS AIR, le plus récent de la maison Lago, trouve dans la transformabilité sa force réelle. Le dos et les coussins des assises sont totalement interchangeables, donnant ainsi un visage toujours nouveau au canapé. C’est une révolution en termes d’espace, de beauté, mais aussi d’ergonomie: chacun peut choisir la profon-deur de l’assise et la hauteur du dos qui sont plus satisfaisants. Les jambes en verre contribuent à rendre le rembourré extrêmement aérien, en don-nant une ultérieure légèreté au milieu dans lequel il est inséré.

EL SISTEMA DE TAPIZADOS AIR, el último hijo de la casa LAGO, encuentra su verdadera fuerza en su ca-pacidad de transformación. Los respaldos y los co-jines de los asientos son completamente intercam-biables, regalándole así una nueva cara al sofá. Es una revolución en términos espaciales y estéticos, pero también ergonómicos: cada uno puede elegir la profundidad del asiento y la altura del respaldo que más le guste. Las patas en cristal contribuyen a hacer que los tapizados se conviertan en algo ex-tremadamente aéreo, confiriéndole aún más ligere-za al ambiente donde están involucrados.

IL NOSTRO IMPEGNO | OUR COMMITMENT

Lago ha iniziato a progettare utilizzando strumenti che misurano l’impatto ambienta-le dei prodotti.La LCA, life cycle assessment, ovvero Valutazione del Ciclo di Vita è uno strumento per la valutazione dell’impatto ambientale di un prodotto, processo o ser-vizio lungo il suo intero ciclo di vita, dalla culla alla tomba, attraverso le fasi di estrazione e lavorazione del-le materie prime, produzione, trasporto, uso fino allo smaltimento.La LCA svolta per supportare le scelte relative alla pro-gettazione del divano Air segue gli standard internazio-nali ISO 14040.Pubblichiamo i valori del carbon footprint*, il water fo-otprint** e l’eco score*** di ogni componente quindi personalizzando il proprio divano è possibile conoscere per la composizione prescelta non solo il valore in euro, ma anche la sua performance ambientale.

* Il carbon footprint di un prodotto misura, in termini di CO2 equi-valente, le emissioni di gas ad effetto serra (GHG) relative all’intero ciclo di vita del prodotto in esame.** Il water footprint di un prodotto indica il volume totale di acqua consumato lungo l’intero ciclo di vita del prodotto in esame.*** L’eco score permette di misurare diversi impatti ambientali signifi-cativi ed esprimerli attraverso un unico risultato. Tale indicatore segue il metodo di valutazione dell’impatto ambientale Eco-indicator 99.

Lago has started to design using tools which calculate the environmental impact of its products.The LCA (that is, Life cycle assessment) is a tool used for assessing the environmental impact of a product, process or service during its life cycle, from the cradle to the grave, through the mining and processing of the row materials, production, transport and use, until its disposal.The LCA done for supporting the choices related to the design of the Air sofas follows the international ISO 14040 standards.We publish the values of the carbon footprint*, the wa-ter footprint** and the eco score*** of each component, so by personalising one’s sofa it is possible to know, for the chosen composition, not only its value in euro, but also its environmental performance.

* The carbon footprint of a product measures, in terms of equivalent CO2, the green house effect gas emission (GHG) concerning the entire life cycle of the examined product.** The water footprint of a product indicates the total volume of water consumed during the entire life cycle of the examined product.*** The eco score allows to measure different remarkable environmental impacts and to merge them into a single result. Such indicator follows the Eco-indicator 99 method for evaluating the environmental impact.

La durata di un prodotto è un obiettivo fonda-mentale che deve porsi il green design.· Il sistema di aggancio brevettato è stato studia-to per durare nel tempo come la qualità delle par-ti imbottite.· Sedute e schienali vengono testati presso il Ca-tas (laboratorio di prove certificato) per garantire la qualità del prodotto e che i materiali utilizzati mantengano il comfort nel tempo.The duration of a product needs to be a fundamental target for the green design.· The patented wall fixing system, as well as the qual-ity of the upholstered parts, have been studied in or-der to last over time.· Seats and back are tested at the Catas (testing and certification laboratory) on order to grant the quali-ty of the product and to make sure that used materi-als keep the comfort standards over time.

· Il prodotto può essere separato non solo nei suoi componenti (sedute, schienali, telaio e gambe) ma anche i diversi materiali che li compongono pos-sono essere divisi con strumenti manuali.· Sempre più del 90% dei materiali utilizzati è po-tenzialmente riciclabile. La percentuale varia a se-conda della composizione scelta.· The product can be separated not only into its com-ponents (seats, backs, frame and legs) but also the dif-ferent materials they are made of can be separated with manual tools· Always more than the 90% of the used materials is potentially recyclable. The percentage varies accord-ing to the chosen composition.

· Abbiamo selezionato i materiali che dessero ga-ranzie di basso impatto ambientale e non nocivi per l’ambiente domestico e gli utilizzatori.· I mobili Lago sono progettati e principalmente realizzati in un’unica sede produttiva, una condi-zione che permette la supervisione attenta dei pro-cessi, una produzione snella e flessibile, la riduzio-ne di movimentazioni e sprechi, quindi maggiore efficienza. Lago ha applicato i principi della lean production, con l’obiettivo di ottimizzare la filiera in un’ottica di miglioramento continuo.· We have selected materials which could grant a low environmental impact and which weren’t harmful for the domestic environment and its users.· The Lago furniture has been designed and produced in a single production site, which allows to super-vise the processes carefully, to have a lean and flexible production, to reduce excessive handlings and wastes, and consequently to be more efficient. Lago has put into practice the principles of the lean production, with the object to optimize the productive for a con-tinuous improvement.
