These are the very best Canadian made club jackets. They are manufactured by Saxon Leather who has been producing quality leather clothing for over 65 years. Each jacket is made with premium Melton wool bodies and leather sleeves. Made for Canadian winters, having a nylon poly-quilt thermal lining, they close up snugly with both top and bottom snaps that compliment a heavy duty zipper. Afghanistan Commemorative Pin

History will remember Afghanistan as Canadas longest war. Once again Canada was called upon to send our Canadian Armed Forces into battle far from home. More than 40,000 soldiers answered that call and served in Afghanistan. 2,179 Soldiers were wounded. 158 Soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice. Thousands more will need our assistance for years to come.

The Royal Canadian Legion has commissioned this satin nickel plated die struck brass lapel pin with enamelled colour. The pin comes mounted on a gloss laminated display card and may be worn by anyone who wishes to visibly commemorate the contribution and sacrifices made by our soldiers.

Soft-Shell Jacket

Since their arrival, these jackets have been jumping off our shelves. And little wonder- good quality materials combined with versatile design makes them an excellent value. Fleece inside and a windproof, weather resistant exterior combine to keep you warm on those days when you cant tell whether that stuff coming out of the sky is rain or snow. For a little extra protection, the collar flips up, the bottom edge has a draw string and the cuffs have a velcro adjustment strap that seals them up against the wind. This belt is made from genuine Italian leather a full 1 wide and 1/8 thick. The one-size-fits-all belt is 55 long fitting waists up to 50. The belt is easily sized by cutting off the excess before you clamp on the secure buckle. Ladies Black Quilted Jacket

Every now and again youll buy a garment that you dont know how you got along without. You find yourself wearing it all the time. This is one of those garments. Its dressier than a fleece jacket, but just as warm. The waffle quilt pattern bridges that gap between casual and dressy. It has a classic cut and the detailing is exceptional. The cuffs can be turned up and the seam is finished so that it doesnt look scruffy. The ladies denim jacket is a traditional fitted cut with buttoned flap top pockets and slash side pockets that are hidden in the side seams, traditional collar and cuffs, and has metal buttons with keyhole buttonholes rather than a zipper. The fabric is as blue denim as you can get, with a little stretch for comfort. This is a jacket that youll put on in the morning and wont want to change out of, even for an outing in the evening.


Men's Denim Jacket

The mens jacket is a classic, no-nonsense straight cut, with many of the same traditional features- metal buttons and keyhole buttonholes (no zipper) top flap pockets and slash pockets on the front, and real, blue jean denim colour. Grey Cardigan

Usually when a sample for a new product comes in, our product development team immediately starts a list of things that need to be changed before we can go to production, and a second sample eventually is produced to respond to the list of changes. The day it arrived, this cardigan was just right. We looked and looked at every detail and try as we may, a list of changes was not happening. It is a great colour. The weight of the fabric is right. The buttons are right. It has excellent bound pockets and ribbed cuffs. The neck binding is great, and the sizing is excellent. All we had to do was add the embroidered Legion Logo. Golf Repair Tool

If you play golf you know that there are two things you need to do when you get to the green: repair your ball mark (the dent in the green where your ball landed) and mark your ball spot (so that your ball doesnt block the putting line of other players). This handy tool is useful for both. The twin tines of this solid brass tool are complemented by the thumb grip on the back to make ball mark repair easy, and the ball marker is securely held in the central indentation by a magnet.


Gym Bag

Calling this a Gym Bag is really just a convention. These bags, while they may have been designed to carry gym clothes, are exceptionally versatile in their usage. When our product research team decided to add this item to our inventory, the qualities they put at the top of the list were durability, usefulness and simplicity. Two seemingly opposite characteristics, delicate and strong, are combined in a traditional natural textile silk. That makes it an excellent choice for making a scarf. LEGION RIDERS PROGRAMThe Royal Canadian Legion was founded on a grass-roots movement among Veterans, and to this day finds its strength in its from the ground up philosophy. Hence it is no surprise that the Legion Riders Program started in the same way. A small group of motorcycle enthusiasts among the membership of the Legion decided to turn their pas-sion into a vehicle to carry the Legion name and promote the traditional values of the Legion. Now their numbers are growing, with the sanction of Dominion Command. New groups are forming across the country to help generate more awareness about the Legion and its services to our serving and retired Veterans and RCMP personnel and their families as well as engaging in community service. You too are welcome to show your support even if you dont ride a motorcycle. Keep the spirit alive. Join us.

Legion Riders Flag

The Legion Riders program was initiated following a request to the Legion Senior Elected Officers by several Legion members who are motorcycle enthusiasts. The aim is to help generate more awareness about the Legion, its presence across the country and its

services to our serving and retired Veterans and RCMP personnel and their families as well as engaging in community service work. The Logos bright colours are printed on a 200 denier nylon motorcycle flag with double stitched edges, and along the leading edge theres a inch sleeve to slip over an antenna or anything else that will suffice as a flag pole. COMMEMORATING CANADA` S ABORIGINAL VETERANS

Canadas Aboriginal people have a long history of military service, from the time of the American Revolution to the modern era. Joseph Brant fought alongside

the Loyalists to prevent the spread of the revolution into what is now Canada.

Four generations later, his great-great-grandson, Lt. Cameron Brant died in battle at Ypres. Down through the years, heroes such as Tecumseh, who died in 1813 at the battle of the Thames, George McLean, a veteran of the Boer War who was wounded in heroic action at Vimy Ridge, and Word War II and Korea Veteran Tommy Prince, recipient of the Military Medal and the Silver Star, exemplify the commitment to principles that are essential to the fabric of Canadian Society today. The Royal Canadian Legion is honoured to recognize the contributions of todays Aboriginal Members of the Canadian Forces as well as their ancestors.

BIRTH OF A NATIONOn Easter Monday, April 9, 1917, 100,000 Canadian soldiers stormed and captured Vimy Ridge in France. It was one of the great victories of World War I. Although the cost to Canada was high - 3,600 dead and more than 7,000 wounded - historians say this victory marked the birth of Canada as a nation. It was the first battle in which all units of the Canadian Army fought together, and their success was overwhelming.

After the war the Canadian government determined the battle should always be remembered, and decided to build a monument at Vimy Ridge. Reaching 40 metres into the sky, the Vimy Memorial is made from 6,000 tons of white limestone. Resting on it are 20 figures that represent Canadas soldiers and the principles they gave up their lives for.

The Members of The Royal Canadian Legion join with their neighbours across the country to express our gratitude towards all members of the Canadian Forces, past and present, by celebrating the courage and commitment of those brave Canadians who fought and won the impossible victory at Vimy Ridge.

ARMISTICE 1918THE 11TH HOUR, THE 11TH DAY, THE 11TH MONTH At the darkest hour before the dawn on 11 November 1918 a train car sat in a forest 50 kilometres north of Paris. Inside, a treaty was signed to end hostilities that had ravaged Europe for more than four years. Six hours later, at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, the guns fell silent. It was the beginning of the end of the Great War, the War to End All Wars.

As the news spread, there was celebration in some places, but at the Front, where soldiers stared at each other across No Mans Land, no one cheered. For certain, they were happy to still be alive, but all around them, as far as the eye could see, lay devastation beyond belief. Culture in Europe, centuries in the making, lay in ruins. Eight million people had been killed. Those who survived laid down their arms and returned to their homelands with memories of fallen comradesmemories that would never leave them.

The following year, King George V declared 11 November to be Armistice Daylater to be known as Remembrance Daya day to remember all those who had made the supreme sacrifice in service to their country. Subsequently it grew to become an annual tradition, increasing in significance after the Second World War.

Canada was profoundly affected by the events of the First World War. A generation of young Canadians had experienced life changing events and had seen their comrades perish. Even those Canadians who did not go to war were affected by the loss of friends or family members. The tradition of Remembrance, and its perpetuation on 11 November, grew out of the grief we feel and our need to care for those who return from war and whose lives are changed forever.

Today, more than 90 years after order and sanity was restored to a world of chaos and desperation, we are reminded of the sacrifices that were made and are still being made, summed up in the Royal Canadian Legions enduring mottoLest We Forget.

75TH ANNIVERSARY

National War Memorial Commemorative Pin

The Royal Canadian Legion takes pride in commemorating the 75th anniversary of the dedication of the National War Memorial. It stands as a timeless symbol of the sacrifice that so many have made in service to Canada.

The memorial takes the form of a tall granite arch, on top of which stand huge bronze figures of Victory and Liberty. Marching through the arch are 22 figures representing all branches of the service in the First World War. Upon the faces of these figures the eager expression of hope replaces the lines of strife and death. They leave behind an unlimbered cannon and all it stands for.

Unveiled by King George VI in the spring of 1939 to commemorate the unselfish response of Canadians in the First World War, the memorial has come to symbolize the sacrifice of all Canadians who have served Canada in time of war in the cause of peace and freedom. 2014 marks the 75th anniversary of the formal dedication of the National War Memorial.

The Royal Canadian Legion recognizes the significance of this national symbol of Remembrance with a commemorative lapel pin. Poppy Suncatcher

As with all of our Poppy images, careful attention was devoted to make sure that the Poppies on our suncatcher are the real Flanders Poppy (Papaver rhoeas). We

focused the same attention on quality and durability as well. We could have reduced cost by using a lesser grade of glass and a monofilament hanger like most commercial suncatchers. Instead, we use double thickness glass, bringing the weight of our 18 cm (over 7) diameter suncatcher to about half a pound; the image is finely crafted with colour fast acrylic bonded to the glass, the edge is finished in traditional stained glass lead caming, and suspended with a sturdy chain. Note also that the Poppy Suncatcher does not come with a suction cup suspension hook. This is not an oversight - we actually recommend that you

suspend your Poppy Suncatcher from the window lock or a screw hook firmly fastened to the window frame. Carry on the tradition of displaying a Poppy in

your window in a new way this Remembrance Day.

D-DAY 1944 - JUNO BEACHOf all the significant events of the 20th

Century, the Normandy Invasion on 6 June 1944 was the most important, changing the course of history. It marked the beginning of the end of Nazi rule in Europe and ultimately led to the development of the modern world. Canada made a major contribution to the D-Day attack by taking responsibility for one of the five beachheads, known forever afterwards as Juno Beach. 14,000 Canadian troops by ship and 450 by parachute landed in the early hours of that fateful day, supported by the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Juno Beach represents the will of Canada as a nation to preserve and defend freedom and democracy, not only for ourselves but also for others saddled with the yoke of oppression. The Supply Department of The Royal Canadian Legion is proud to recognize the achievements of those Canadians who took part in this heroic event with this collection of commemorative products. Lest We Forget Collector Cards

The Tradition of Remembrance is a priority of the Royal Canadian Legion. It is not often that the Supply Department discovers products that are dedicated to that cause. The company producing these cards has collaborated with Veterans Affairs Canada to produce an attractive and well informed series of cards that will appeal to students, educators, parents, veterans, history buffs, Canadians from all walks of life. They are an ideal way to engage children in conversation on Remembrance.

These cards illustrate people, events and equipment related to D-Day. Subsequent series will illustrate the First and Second World Wars, Korea, and other chapters in Canadas history. High quality, full colour images are printed on premium trading card stock in the standard 3.5 x 2.5 size, meaning that they will fit into commercially available vinyl collector card pages. Each series of numbered cards has checklists so the collector will know exactly what cards are needed to complete the series.

Cards are available in packages of eight cards, 24 packages to a box. Individual packages have a suggested retail price of $3.95 so the cards may be used to generate funds at the branch. Cards are also available in complete sets (112 cards), either with or without a special collector card binder.

The producers of the D-Day Collector Cards have introduced another item of significance to the Tradition of Remembrance- a Teachers Resource Kit. The kit comes in a compact binder format which contains a complete set of D-Day Cards (112 Cards), a 50+ page lesson plan and a DVD. The lesson plan is composed of 11 teaching modules based on the Collector cards covering 4 grade level groupings from Elementary Grade 4 to Post-secondary. The modules are engaging and informative, and are accompanied by several pages of individual assessment sheets for student progress. The DVD contains grouped images of the cards for video classroom presentation and video interviews with Veterans. This kit is useful not only for teachers but also for guest speakers at Remembrance activities in the school setting.

V-Day Pocket Watch

It is surprising how some things from bygone eras have survived the 21st century onslaught of technology. One of these devices is the pocket watch. Its simplicity is the feature which brings back memories of a kinder, gentler world, and accounts for its enduring popularity. What better product, then, to carry the Legions commemorative V-Day design? The Supply Department commissioned special custom dies to produce the Victory 1945 image which graces the traditional flip-open cover. The watch inside features a traditional mother of pearl finish face with old-school numbers and antique-look hands. The modern is not completely missing, however. The technology of a battery driven quartz movement provides reliability and value to complement traditional charm. The watch is finished with a classic 14 inch watch chain and comes in a handsome presentation quality gift box.

V-Day Pin

When it became clear that the tide had turned in favour of allied forces in the Second World War, the V for victory became a rallying sign. Images of the great Sir Winston Churchills gesture of the two fingered V gave hope to millions who struggled with the conflict at home and abroad. The Supply Department has produced this enduring image in the form of a lapel pin, manufactured to the exacting standards of quality that youve come to expect- finely struck and highly polished enhanced with high quality enamel. This pin features the popular clutch back attachment and comes attractively presented on a decorative, descriptive card.


VICTORY DAYConsidering the profound impact that the events of the Second World War has had in shaping the modern era, it is little wonder that there was such great celebration in allied nations when victory over the axis powers was announced. After 6 years of devastating conflict, in all of the allied nations citizens and military personnel alike were all overjoyed at the prospect that victory was finally at hand. Time has passed but the memories have not faded. The Legion Supply Department is commemorating Victory Day with a collection of three popular items marked with the distinctive victory V design. Since the end of the war in Europe occurred earlier in 1945 than in the Pacific region, there are several dates of major significance. The design commemorates all Victory Day dates worldwide.

but during that time the world changed profoundly. Isolationism became a thing of the past, and governments began to realize that their actions from then on would have global implications. Afghanistan Commemorative Pin

History will remember Afghanistan as Canadas longest war. Once again Canada was called upon to send our Canadian Armed Forces into battle far from home. More than 40,000 soldiers answered that call and served in Afghanistan. 2,179 Soldiers were wounded. 158 Soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice. Thousands more will need our assistance for years to come.

The Royal Canadian Legion has commissioned this satin nickel plated die struck brass lapel pin with enamelled colour. The pin comes mounted on a gloss laminated display card and may be worn by anyone who wished to visibly commemorate the contribution and sacrifices made by our soldiers.
