• Forests cover almost half of Canada. Nearly one- fourth of all the fresh water in the world

• Canada is one of the largest mining nations in the world. Over 60 minerals and metals are produced in Canada. Canada is the third largest diamond producing nation in the world Canada is the world's leader in the production of potash and uranium.

• Of all of the world's producers of natural gas, copper, zinc, nickel, aluminum, and gold, Canada is in the top five

People • According to the United Nations Human Development Index, Canada has the

highest quality of life in the world. ( top five on most )

• Vancouver Canada is tied with Zurich Switzerland for the highest quality of life of any city in the world.

• Canada has the world's highest tertiary education enrolment.
