Can I keep any cash after filing for bankruptcy?

If I'm filing for bankruptcy, what will happen if I cash in an RRSP and rat holee the money away? I've been searching around, and I talked to someone who went through with it, and they said their lawyer told them to clear all their bank accounts of any cash and put it away.
