The Physical Education Program (PEAC) offers physical education activity & instructional classes to students in aquatics, fitness, dance, martial arts, and lifetime sports. Instruction is sequential and planned to develop and improve performance skills, to impart knowledge and concepts relevant to the activity, to introduce information concerning the fitness and health benefits of regular exercise, and to help students to develop and maintain physical fitness. These courses also provide opportunities for multi-cultural learning and socialization. Beginner through advanced level classes are provided in many activities.

Most classes are 1 credit and meet 2 times per week for 1 hour during the standard academic year. A majority of a student’s grade for a PEAC class will be based on class participation and attendance, but there is also an emphasis on skill development and knowledge growth.
