DANCE
It is said that music speaks to the heart, but dance speaks to the soul. Dance
is a performing art of expression, creativity, and discipline. Some of the other
benefits are increased self-esteem, inter-personal skills, and good health
habits. As part of the On Pointe dance family we dance to express ourselves,
find an outlet for creativity, and connect our minds and bodies. On Pointe has
been in the business of encouraging dancers to become the best individuals
they can be for 18 years. We believe that a balanced life is the best way to
live, so we teach for the love of the art and not competition.
Our teachers are well-trained in dance, but more importantly have a passion
for teaching. Come see what we are all about. Our dancers have the unique
experience of performing on the PACE Center stage in our end of semester
recital. A $70 costume purchase fee is made payable to On Pointe the first
week of class. Classes start February January 10 and end May 20. There
are no classes on Spring Break March 14-18.

friendly. In fact, ukulele is the instrument of choice for many music teachers because
of how fun and accessible it is for students of any ability level. Students should supply
their own ukulele.

Join the Colorado Chamber Players as they perform the beloved African folk tale
Tunji and the Giant, set to lively music and narration by David Mullikin, along with
other short kid-friendly pieces. Kids can participate by playing small percussion
instruments (rattles and rainsticks) with guidance from the CCP. At the end of
the concert, kids can try small string instruments and recorder in an instrumen-
tal petting zoo.

they need your help to make it happen! So, pull up your bootstraps and join us
for inventive storytelling, physical comedy and a great big “YES WE CAN!”
BIRDS OF PREY | SA, APR. 9, 10:00 A.M. AT THE PACE CENTER EVENT ROOM
This one-hour program for all ages includes a Bald or a Golden eagle, an owl, a
falcon, and features a free-flying hawk. Guests will learn about the importance
of different raptor species, their specially-adapted tools, and their role in our
ecosystems.
WILD | SA, JULY 9, 10:00 A.M. & 12:00 P.M. AT THE SCHOOLHOUSE
Wilder is a rambunctious and willful child with energy to spare. Like his hero
Max from Where The Wild Things Are, Wilder struggles with minding authority
and navigating issues of anger. He is certain life would have been better if rather
than a boy, he had instead been born a “wild animal of the jungle.” So he has
decided to be one. Wilder’s Mom does her best to guide her imaginative and
headstrong son, but she struggles with the difficulties of being a single mother;
having a “wild animal of the jungle” for a son only adds to the pressures. Join
Parker Arts for this original children’s play by local actor and director, Christo-
pher Willard.
SCIENCECODING WITH MINECRAFT | AGES: 6-11 Come code with Athena! We've designed a unique exploratory approach to program-
ming. Our camp is designed to allow young students (K-5) to develop their creative sto-
rytelling and writing abilities, and then gives them the opportunity to bring their stories
to life through game design using MIT's Scratch, and Python. The course is suited for a
variety of different levels of experience with these languages, works well as a comple-
ment to an existing curriculum. Students will have a blast creating their own games
and animations!
