WEDNESDAY DraMature The Manatee Players’ senior acting troupe! 11:00 – 11:45 am Improv 11:45 am- 12:30 pm Reader’s Theatre Free Class for 55 and up actors! Dance Express 5:45 - 6:45 pm - Ages 7 - 16 Kathy Gasper - Instructor This class is designed for the novice dancer as an introduction to the various disciplines of dance. This is an intensive fast track course as a catch up for those just starting dance training. MONDAY Teen Ballet 3 - 4 5:00 - 6:00 pm • Ages 11 & up Robin M. Kumm – Instructor This class builds technique, strength, and artistry and is designed for dancers who have had previous ballet training. Students will develop a more challenging repertoire of ballet combinations, while developing musicality and expressing themselves theatrically. Broadway Boogie 6:00 - 6:45 pm • Ages 7-12 Laura Hoffman - Instructor This upbeat class will explore the many styles of dance that are used to create Broadway dances. Emphasis will be on polish and performance of stage choreography THURSDAY Beginning Tap 5:00 - 5:45 pm - All Ages Michael DeMocko - Instructor Beginning tap will explore the basics of this unique art form. Intermediate/Advanced Tap 5:45 - 6:45 pm - All Ages Michael DeMocko - Instructor This class will focus on footwork, rhythm, style and musicality. ROBIN KUMM - Robin has been teaching dance in the area for over 20 years. She began her training with Kay Hearton, formally with the Washington Ballet and continued her training with Sandra Young, formally of the Tampa Ballet. At FSU, she studied ballet under Kate Levitz and earned her B.S. in Education. then furthered her training with Deborah Vinton, in the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Syllabus where she earned her Teaching Certificate. Robin is thrilled to be teaching her Unique Ballet Classes at the Manatee Performing Arts Center!

MICHAEL DEMOCKO - Michael has been a dancer for over 25 years. His performance credits include regional theater, national tours and cruise ship productions. He is thrilled to be a part of the Manatee Performing Arts Center family.

CORINNE WOODLAND - Corinne has been appearing with Manatee Players for 21 years. Most recently she was Beatrice in BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS! Other favorites include TARZAN (gorilla), GYPSY (Gypsy/Louise), A CHORUS LINE (Kristine), ALL SHOOK UP (Natalie/Ed), SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS (Dorcas), PETER PAN (Peter), WEST SIDE STORY (Anybody’s).

KELLY WOODLAND - Kelly is well-known in the area theatrical community. She has appeared on stage as well as directed shows from the Island Players to Venice Theatre. At the Manatee Players, she has been seen in GODSPELL and THE ELEPHANT MAN. Kelly has also directed several of the Manatee Players’ summer camp shows. She is a teacher and enjoys helping shape our community through its young people. Her husband, Mark, and daughter, Corinne, have also been a part of the theater community as well.

KYLE ANN LACERTOSA - Kyle Ann is the Director of Performing Arts for Cardinal Mooney High School. In addition to directing for CMHS, she directs the Kidz Camp show each summer for the Manatee Players. She has appeared in the Manatee Players’ productions of HAIRSPRAY (Tracy Turnblad), JERRY’S GIRLS and played ‘Dorothy’ in STEPPING OUT.

KATHY GASPER - Kathy Gasper has an impressive classi-cal background complimenting her appearances on the Broadway stage, television, cabarets, regional theatres, and summer stock productions. Kathy has been a solo-ist and principal dancer with the Milwaukee Ballet, Weis-baden Ballet, Illinois and Chicago Ballets, the Florentine Opera, and the Chicago Opera Ballet. She has been an instructor/guest artist at several universities and has pro-duced creative “in-school” programs that are applied to-day in Michigan, Florida, Minnesota, and North Dakota.

LAURA HOFFMAN - Laura has been dancing since the age of 2. She has studied both locally and in New York City, where she obtained her BA at Marymount Manhattan Col-lege. Her extensive theatre experience started at the age of 7, and to date, she has been in more than 90 musicals.
