Preregistration & Open RegistrationFor Daze, Fest, Adaptive Recreation Camp & Licensed Community/Recreation Center Camps

Preregistration for returning families (2019 and 2020 partic-ipants in Daze, Fest, Adaptive Recreation and licensed summer camps at community/recreation centers) begins March 9 at 8:30 a.m. and ends March 15 at 5:00 p.m. Registration for new fam-ilies eligible for the free and reduced lunch program at LCPS be-gins March 16 at 8:30 a.m. and ends March 19 at 5:00 p.m. Open registration for remaining spaces begins March 23 at 8:30 a.m. and ends April 30 at 5:00 p.m. Additional paperwork may be required to meet licensing requirements. Returning families will be notified in advance. New registrants will be notified upon regis-tration. Visit www.loudoun.gov/camps, email [email protected] or contact your desired community/recreation center for more in-formation. To establish a new household account or retrieve exist-ing household information, visit www.loudoun.gov/webtrac before the start of registration. Registration for Community/Recreation Center camps is ongoing until spaces are filled.

General Camp RegistrationCounty residents may register online for all other PRCS sum-

mer camps beginning at 12:01 a.m. March 23 or in person at PRCS Administration and center and park offices during normal operating hours. To establish a new household account or retrieve existing household information, visit www.loudoun.gov/webtrac prior to the start of registration. Registration is ongoing until spac-es are filled.

Non-Resident RegistrationCamp registration for anyone residing outside of Loudoun

County begins March 30.

PaymentsRegistration fees are due at the time of registration, unless oth-

erwise noted. Online registrations must be paid by credit card. Cash, check, money order or credit card payments can be made in person. Checks or money orders must be made payable to “County of Loudoun.” Your driver’s license number must be in-cluded on the check. Do not include supply fees in the total paid. Supply fees are payable to the instructor at the first day of camp.

Notice to ParticipantsAll activities of a physical nature involve some risk. By register-

ing for a county-sponsored class requiring physical activity, you, as the participant or parent of a participant under the age of 18, assume the risk involved in participating in these activities. The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is dedicated to providing safe facilities and equipment for all participants, as well as qualified instructional staff to en-hance your experience.

Unless specifically declined, by registering for or participating in a PRCS-sponsored activity, participants give permission for the

Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services to use photographs and videos of themselves or their children for publicity in publications and other media, including social media, without limitation in order to increase community awareness of PRCS programs and services.

Supplies & MaterialsThe cost of supplies and materials is included in the camp fee,

unless otherwise noted. If a separate supply or material fee is required, it must be paid to the instructor on the first day of camp.

TransportationWhen transportation is provided, spaces are filled on a first-

come, first-served basis.

Trip PolicyThere will be no smoking or alcoholic beverages allowed on any

vehicles used for department trips, including motor buses. Due to outside costs associated with arranging and booking trips, there will be no refund when a participant cancels a trip registration.

Program Accessibility/ADAThe Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and

Community Services is committed to complying with the Amer-icans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you require a reasonable ac-commodation for any type of disability in order to participate in PRCS activities, please email [email protected].

Program Refunds & CancellationsOur goal is to ensure quality programs. If you are dissatisfied

with the quality of a camp while the participant is enrolled, you may request a refund according to the following policy: Refund requests must include an explanation of why the participant is disappointed with the quality of the camp. The request must be dated and sent by email directly to the facility manager or pro-gram manager offering the camp. The amount of refund will be prorated based on the number of remaining sessions. If you make the request 15 or more days before the camp starts, a full refund, MINUS a 15% administrative fee (maximum of $15), will be of-fered. If you cancel a registration 14 or fewer days before the start date, a refund of 50% will be offered. Daze, Fest and Adaptive Recreation Camps may require additional refund procedures.

The Department reserves the right to cancel or change a camp or activity due to insufficient enrollment or other reasonable cause. A full refund (including any applicable registration fee) will be offered.

Closings/PostponementsIn case of inclement weather, public holidays or emergencies,

the Department will determine cancellation or postponement of programs. If you are in doubt as to whether or not camp activities will be held, please contact the location or program offering the camp or call 703-777-0343.

DAZE CAMPElementary School Summer Camp

Daze Summer Camp is an all day, all-encompassing summer camp pro-gram, designed to stimulate creative minds, build healthy bodies, provide age-appropriate challenges and develop lasting friendships. This summer, your child will experience daily activities including group games, science & nature, music & drama, arts & crafts, sports, cooking and more!

FEST CAMPMiddle School Summer Camp

This awesome camp is offered at several locations this summer. Don’t miss out on Jam-packed weeks with science & nature, arts & crafts, sports, group games, music, drama and chill time.

ADAPTIVE RECREATION CAMPS

Our summer day camp at Moorefield Station Elementary provides fun and adventure with weekly themes and activities including on-site, sports, crafts, and special events. Campers engage in activities that foster independence, self-awareness, community leisure education, and positive interpersonal re-lationships. PRCS Summer Day Camps are state-licensed and operated by a team of experienced recreational professionals and seasonal summer staff.

Returning Camp Families: Families enrolled in 2020 or 2019 may preregister for the summer of 2021 during pre-registration from March 9 at 8:30a.m. – March 15 at 5p.m.

Free & Reduced Lunch: Families whose children receive free and reduced lunch with LCPS will have the opportunity to register for camp slots at a 25% reduction of the weekly fee beginning March 16 at 8:30 a.m.

New Families: General registration for Summer Camps opens March 23 at 8:30a.m.

A $25 per child, per week non-refundable deposit is due at registration.

REQUIRED FORMS

To complete registration, we must receive the following by April 20:

• PRCS Registration Form

• Contact information for three persons within 30 miles of camp

• Current identity verification for each child (birth certificate, birth regis-tration card, passport or report card) - new registrants only

• Virginia School Entrance Health Form signed by a physician - new registrants only

• Disability & Medical Needs Form (For AR Camp or if applicable)

• Additional Forms: Therapy Form

If forms are not received by the due date, the camper will be dropped from the pro-gram. If space is available, families must register and pay applicable fees again.

WATER SAFETY CAMP(Ages 8-11) This camp will provide swim instruction, water safety knowledge and aquatic games. Participants will engage in daily water safety themes such as “fun in the sun”, “ocean safety”, and “drowning prevention”. Swim instruction is included in addition to daily arts and crafts, indoor/outdoor games, and presenters such as Loudoun County Fire and Rescue. Please wear your bathing suit and bring the following: water bottle, lunch, snack, towel and goggles. JUNIOR LIFEGUARDING CAMP(Ages 11-14) Are you looking to be a future lifeguard but are not quite old enough yet? This weeklong camp will build the founda-tional knowledge and skills to be a future lifeguard. This camp includes the CPR/AED/First Aid certificate. Participants will devel-op water safety knowledge and swimming skills needed for the lifeguard test in addition to fun games and activities throughout the week. ART IN THE PARK(Ages 7-9) Help your child discover a new talent and practice an artistic skill. Our creative art camp is based outdoors and will give artists a new perspective while taking in the fresh air. Art projects will be unique, challenging, and hands-on. Projects vary by week and campers will explore a variety of different artistic mediums such as sculpture, theatre, photography, painting, and nature to name a few (some projects will overlap in category). Activities vary weekly and are weather dependent. You can enroll your camper in a half-day section, or a full day to make it a full day of fun for the whole week! You do not need to enroll in Lunchtime Lizards if you are enrolled for a full day at Franklin Park.
