The upcoming property’s first stone was laid on Saturday (October 7) and a 2020 opening date wasannouncedinaceremonythatheraldedtheaccelerationoftheSwisshospitalityfirm’sdevelopmentplansintheSub-Saharanregion.
MövenpickHotelAbidjanwillbethecompany's firstproperty inCôted'Ivoireandoneof fourcurrently inactivedevelopmentintheregion.TheotherthreeareMövenpickHotel&ResidencesNairobiinKenya,whichisontracktoopenin2018,MövenpickHotelAddisAbabainEthiopiasettoopenin2019andMövenpickHotel & Conference Centre Abuja in Nigeria set for completion in 2020.
