Our philosophy is based upon the belief that we have the ability and responsibility to nurture each child’s development through interactions and experiences that create enthusiasm for life and the love of learning. We believe that “care” and “education” go hand in hand. We view each child as a feeling, thinking and creative individual. We also believe that a child’s positive self-esteem is critical to social, physical and intellectual development and that there are developmentally appropriate practices which encourage

young children to see themselves as capable human beings. With our 40 years of combined experience in this field, we have developed and designed our academic and social programs to meet your child’s developmental needs at each stage of growth. The secular and Judaic curriculum has been created to challenge and stimulate your child. Our program has the highest standards to ensure that each child’s experience will set him/her on a path of success. We’re proud to have earned the mark of quality from The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and to be recognized for our commitment to reaching the highest professional standards. We will celebrate the U.S.A. and discover all the amazing things our country has to offer. We will experience all the traditional summer camp activities including swimming, sports, arts and crafts, bounce houses and a daily sing-a-longs. Join us as we create magic and memories at the JCC this summer!

Week 1: CaliforniaMay 27 - May 30* We’ll begin our road trip in the sunny state of California as we pan for gold! We will stop to make and taste homemade chocolate as we visit Ghirardelli Square. Then, we are off to create chopstick art in Chinatown and our own surf and sand shell art from the coast!

Week 2: ArizonaJune 2 - June 6 Howdy partner! We now move west to stop in the great state of Arizona where we will create turquoise jewelry, visit the Painted Desert and take a dip at Slide Rock in the red rocks of Sedona. Then we’ll mosey on up to wet our whistles at the watering hole with an old fashioned sarsaparilla float!

Week 3: TexasJune 9 - June 13Keep your cowboy hat on as we make our next stop in the great state of Texas for a Wild West sing-a-long! We’ll gather around the campfire to make yummy smores, try our luck at the horse shoe toss and giddy on up to create our own cowboy hats!

Week 4: LouisianaJune 16 - June 20Grab your beads and get ready for Mardi Gras! We’ll make our own macaroni necklaces, have boat races on the Bayou, and make & eat sweet beignets. Your fortune will be told by the Great Ms. Deena and you will pick a prize from her treasure chest.

Week 5: FloridaJune 23 - June 27We’ll jump across the swamp lands to Florida where we will make sunshine juice from fresh fruit, dive for pennies in the cool blue ocean, visit Universal Studios Toon Town and dress up like Pirates of the Caribbean as we stop by Disneyworld! Ahoy Mate!

Week 6: MidwestJune 30 - July 3*Buckle your seat belts for our trip to the Midwest! We will stop in Iowa to husk corn for our popcorn necklaces, travel to the windy city of Chicago to make windsocks and ride on a tractor to Nebraska to visit Old MacDonald on his farm.

Week 7: MichiganJuly 7 - July 11We will cruise on into the Motor City to see where our cars are made and make our very own shoebox car. We’ll keep on moving as we groove on down to Motown singing the songs of the Supremes. We’ll meet the one and only super singing sensation Diana Ross and freeze dance the day away!

Week 8: New YorkJuly 14 - July 18Let’s hop on a ferry as we head into the Big Apple to make caramel apples! Hold onto your hats as we hit the lights of Broadway! Then, we will travel down 5th Avenue on a scavenger hunt, batter up as we visit Yankee Stadium to create our own baseball caps and then make our own torches just like the Statue of Liberty!

Week 9: VermontJuly 21 - July 25Next stop is Vermont where we will make pancakes and tap the trees for that sweet golden maple syrup. We’ll create our own frosty snow and stop at the famous Ben and Jerry’s for some yummy ice cream that we will make! We’ll rake the colorful fall leaves as we watch them fall from the trees.

Week 10: Washington, D.C.July 28 - Aug. 1Put your voting hats on as our last stop will be in our nation’s capitol. We will stroll down 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to visit the President, build popsicle stick replicas of the Capitol Building and take an Old Town Trolley Tour of the White House.
