it is with great pride that i welcome back our many returning families to what i am confident will be another outstanding summer. i am also thrilled to extend a warm

welcome to those of you thinking of joining our Bayview Glen family for the first time. Bayview Glen Day Camp has been a leader for children’s camping since we began 55 years ago. our goal today is the same as it was then – creating special memories that last a lifetime.

each season we host over 1,000 families from the Greater Toronto area, as well as many international families. while our programs have changed over the past 55 years, our industry best standard of a 3:1 camper to staff ratio ensures that every child is still assured the same balanced, inclusive, creative, energetic, caring and safe Bayview Glen Day Camp experience.

each season, Bayview Glen Day Camp welcomes over 1,000 families from the Greater Toronto area, including hundreds of returning campers. To take

extra-special care of them in the Bayview Glen way, we carefully hand-pick 450 experienced staff

from over 1,500 candidates we interview each year. including counsellors, specialists, supervisors and

new for 2017…Specialized Science, Tech and Debate CampsRobotics CampBORn: 2004-2009 » using eV3 leGo mindstorms robotics materials,

the camp provides an introduction to robotics that is sure to captivate any camper!

» Through user-friendly programming and basic engineering concepts, campers will be challenged with tasks that are sure to grow their talents in a fun and interactive environment

» robotics campers will work with ultrasonic, touch and colour sensors to help their robots run autonomously

» By the end of the week the campers robots will look like they have a mind of their own!!!

CSI CampBORn: 2004-2007» Bayview Glen’s Csi camp goes deep into the science

of the mystery» using lab equipment, campers will learn about the

biology of cell examination and will work as a team to become crime-solving, forensic detectives!

» using the proof of their forensic findings, campers will present their evidence to a jury and hopefully solve the case!

Duelling Debate Camp BORn: 2004-2007» The Duelling Debate camp is a weeklong option for

campers to develop their public speaking, persuasive thinking, and collaborative skills

» Through a range of meaningful topics and fun, interactive games, the campers will work to improve their public speaking skills, develop an ability to analyze and argue for a specific point, and become more confident in front of a podium or audience

in their sport of choice, one week at a time.» Campers receive professional and specialized

Arts CampArtistic Creations Arts CampALL AGeS» Now part of our regular program at no additional fee,

all campers 5 years old and older will now receive this great program as part of their regular camp schedule.

Performers CampBORn: 2004-2010» our amazing performers Camp for campers 6 years of

The secure, leafy campus of Bayview Glen school gives our camp a country environment, centrally

placed in the heart of the city. it also gives us all-day access to a wealth of facilities including

two heated outdoor pools, four sports fields, three air-conditioned gymnasiums, a 350-seat theatre,

art studios and our cool classroom “cabins”. Two large, tree-shaded decks overlooking the 40-acres of conservation parkland are favourite

settings for any activity and barbecues.

Nature is key at Bayview Glen Day Camp. every day, it’s right up-close in the wonders of the

ravine and the sound of birds and rustling leaves in “our” forest. we help campers experience the great outdoors as an adventure, inspiring them to respect nature as they do. we also help them feel

safe at the doorstep of the great-big world, from the mock overnights that our junior campers love to

multi-day trips that give senior campers a taste of the sleepover camp experience at historic

Camp Timberlane in haliburton. oVerNiGhT experieNCes

Camp TimberlaneAs our campers grow, we believe strongly in offering them a variety of different overnight opportunities.

For many years, we have been fortunate to have Camp Timberlane as the camp where our campers can ‘try out’ an extended overnight experience.

This summer, Camp Timberlane will be offering a 2-night, 3-day experience at No CharGe* for our Cheetah, Jaguar and Tiger campers. This will allow all of our older campers to have this experience without the worry of an additional cost.

as part of our traditional camp experience, campers participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities, all of which are in-structed by hand-picked activ-ity specialists. in addition to a morning instructional swim and an afternoon recreational swim, campers can look forward to five different activities each day. our program is designed so that your child will have a perfect balance of art, sport, science, nature, out-door adventure and performing arts activities. Choice electives are introduced once a week for lynx campers and twice a week for Cheetah campers. Jaguar campers can choose electives each afternoon and Tigers have the ability to choose electives each morning and afternoon.

the award-winning robotics program at Bayview Glen

independent school, and will be run by a professional and
