3 unit type modules stack and lock together to form a diverse facade and differing unit orientations. By interspersing communal garden spaces the building was allowed to increase its height and maintain the unit count desired by the client.

Responsibilities included setting up all renderings, and some design work on the facade of the larger building, as well as designing the skin of the loft building to the rear.

[Student Work]Desert Hot Springs Spa23 Guest Suites + Spa + GardensSituated in a wash, an artificial channel redirects and concentrates infrequent but violent rainfall into a safe and continually changing environment.The entire design is oriented to give a sweeping view of the Coachella Valley below and Mt. San Jacinto across from Desert Hot Springs. The formal qualitites are derived from the geometry of the wash, which are then dissolved, as from a hard rain, and the guest quarters are cut and lifted.
