Welcome to a superb season of entertainment. There’s so much happening over the next few months to entice you out for some unforgettable summer nights – a carefully blended, sparkling cocktail of music, comedy, theatre, and dance!

Rock and pop includes: Flame-haired diva, Paloma Faith serving up some soul and disco; 80s pop icon Belinda Carlisle; cult US alt-rock band Eels; pioneering singer/songwriter Suzanne Vega and celebrating 50 years working together . . . East End institution Chas & Dave!

With a brand new classical concert series waiting in the wings this autumn, May sees the final concert of the current season. It promises to be a very special occasion as cellist, Julian Lloyd Webber performs Elgar’s haunting Cello Concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, his last appearance as the Corn Exchange’s Artist in Residence.

Dance show FLASH MOB combines the best talent from TV reality shows like Strictly and Britain’s Got Talent. The prestigious London Russian Ballet School presents a gala performance in July and in the autumn a very special event takes place INALA – A Zulu Ballet, created by award-winning choreographer Mark Baldwin and South African Legends Ladysmith Black Mambazo with dancers from Royal Ballet and Rambert Dance Company.

One of the biggest highlights this summer is the extraordinary Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. The iconic jazz record label Blue Note is 75 and in what promises to be one of the venue’s truly iconic concerts, the entire history of modern jazz will be celebrated as only Lincoln Center knows how.

And that’s not all: bringing laughter to the stage in the form of the Cambridge Comedy Festival; Sarah Millican who’s giving up the party scene; Flight of the Conchords’ Rhys Darby; plus kids’ shows including direct from London’s Science Museum, The Energy Show and this winter something never seen in the city before . . . Not Until We Are Lost from the spellbinding physical theatre company Ockham’s Razor.

The drama unfolds above and around the audience as the actors perform on a specially constructed steel frame bringing them into the heart of the action. The show journeys through the narrative, interspersed with a 20 strong local community promenading choir.

The performers use aerial movement to create atmospheric, exciting physical theatre in a series of short stories which explore what it is to be lost. The sculptures transform around the audience creating physically and emotionally affecting environments.These shifts in perspective and gravity question how solid, how fixed, is the world around us?
