Site Details

• Radiosonde launches at 11:15 and 23:15 (ZT).

• Also run Herstmonceaux and Castor Bay sondes

• Have flown Snow White sondes

• Part of National Radiaton Sensor Network.

• Laser cloud base and visibility measurements

• GPS Water Vapour column.

• Microwave and other measurements ?

“The Ozone Shed”

FTIR Installation

• FTIR installed in Ozone Shed

• Solar tracker hard-mounted on concrete base outside South-facing door.

• Support structures being designed.

• Phone and hopefully internet connections available.

Campaign Timetable

• Preliminary installation prior to main campaign (July) • FTIR set up from 11th August• Flight window : 13th August to 26th September• Initial manned period (1-2 weeks)• Other manned periods (of 1 week +) driven by weather conditions.• If flight occurs during unmanned period then we can get to site the

evening following a noon flight briefing – in time for measurements the next day.

• Staffing : 2 people out of TG, MC & AB.

Other Issues

• Liquid N2 : BOC already deliver to site (helium).• Accommodation : • Other instruments ?• Communication between FAAM and Camborne.
