Today’s The Day! For the past few weeks we’ve been

reminding you about this year’s Alternative Gift Faire. Today—

Sunday, November 1st—is the day it happens. We hope all of you will take the time to come to this event to be held on the Plaza. Of equal importance, we hope all of you will have made the effort to invite someone—a friend, a neighbor, a co-worker, a family member—to come with you or to meet you at the AGF. If you haven’t done this, we hope you’ll invite them today! The event runs from 11 A.M. TO 2 P.M. There will be lots of organizations that are doing outstanding work in reaching out to people in need that will be represented at the AGF. We’re sure you can find several options for getting an alternative Christmas gift—or multiple ones—for those on your Christmas Gift List. We’re also sure that shopping at the AGF will be less stressful than any shopping you’ll do between now and Christmas Day, including not having to battle traffic! Such a deal you can’t beat! See you at the AGF TODAY! The Outreach Ministry Chapel on Wheels Paper Drive Chapel on Wheels paper drive will be held Saturday, February 7 from 9:00 A.M. until noon at the following locations: - Behind liquor store, corner of Chapman and Euclid. - Parki ng lot east Raymond on Chapman Ave. next to Walgreen’s Pharmacy. - Behind the Bank of America, on Laguna Road, between Bastanchury and Valencia Mesa.

Turn your clocks “back” one hour before retiring on Saturday night, October 31.

We Get Letters And We Also Get Certificates Rev. John McCullough,

President and CEO of Church World Service sent this letter to our congregation recently. “Your generous donation to the Church World Service Blankets+ program tells people in crisis, ‘You’re not alone. Someone cares’.” The full text of his letter, plus a certificate is posted on the bulletin board. You are encouraged to read it and to check out the certificate! There is also a sheet that gives details about the places that CWS Blankets were shipped between January and June of this year. It’s interesting to note from this sheet that the majority of the blankets were shipped to people living in our country who are dealing with the issue of homelessness! We hope you’ll take the time to read this information which lets all of us know the importance of our annual Blanket Project each August, a project which again generated a wonderful response to people’s needs by our congregation. We thank Laura Lee Wiggins for spearheading this project on behalf of the Outreach Ministry.
