A tool for the Keeper

What it is?

• A tool for the keeper• Generate names and NPCs fast• Store NPCs (that can be retrieved and modified later)• Try to generate life like characters with little effort or user interaction• Randomized NPCs can be used to create interesting backstories

• Why do this• We had a similar tool for WoD, and it makes running a game so much fun,

because all NPCs feel fully fletched out with a name, even when the Keeper or Storyteller did not plan anyone

• Because I am a programmer and role player and I enjoy making this• It is not intended to replace for example Dholes Houses generators –/ these

are aimed mainly at generating PCs

Some things about randomness …

• The following page shows the randomly generated Broderick Kline

• Although he is an athlete, he has very strange skills -– these are currently fully random. • First of all, I have some plans to “direct” development for the different

occupations instead of it being completely random. • But even though it is fully random, it creates very interesting characters. Why

does Broderick know about vampires? How can he be an athlete with a DEX of 35? Even though he is an athlete, he sure knows a lot about crafts. Why?• The Keeper is of course not needed to answer these questions, but thinking about them

makes for a unique and interesting backstory.

• Of course if it does not work out, you can always just press the Generate button again ☺

• Currently: runs on Windows, but the current UI is sort of a prototype at the moment• Final version might be this, or something that is a Web application or a mobile app or a cross platform UI app

• Planned: Character/Investigator library that can be used to save generated characters
