The following Fiberon products meet the California State Fire Marshal and San Diego County requirements for use in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) areas. Fiberon composite decking products were tested in accordance with the requirements defined in the 2010 California Building Code, Chapter 7A (CSFM 12-7A-4), Materials and Consruction Methods for Exterior Wildfire Exposure - Decking. The CA State requirement is the IRC, which requires an FSI Class C or better. Building Materials Listings are required where the IWUIC code applies. Part A: Underflame Test 1. Peak heat release rate of less than or equal to 25 kW/ft2 (269kW/m2) 2. Absence of combustion at the conclusion of the 40-minute observation period. 3. Absence of structural failure of any deck board. 4. Absence of falling particles that are still burning when reaching the floor. Part B: Burning Brand Test 1. Absence of combustion at the conclusion of the 40-minute observation period. 2. Absence of structural failure of any deck board. 3. Absence of falling particles that are still burning when reaching the floor.
