2015 Los amantes de la buena cocina y los vinos

de calidad encuentran en Lanzarote un ver-

excelentes productos frescos que son pro-

tagonistas tanto de la cocina tradicional

como de las nuevas tendencias. Gracias al

Plan de Dinamización del Turismo Enogas-

tronómico que está llevando a cabo el Ca-

bildo de Lanzarote, se viene desarrollando

un interesante calendario de eventos eno-

gastronómicos con el fin de apoyar y dar

valor a los productos autóctonos de la isla,

así como crear una oferta de ocio turístico

gastronómico de interés para nuestros visi-

tantes. En Lanzarote le espera un año que le

dejará con buen sabor de boca.

Lovers of good quality cooking and wine

will find in Lanzarote a true paradise in

all senses. It is not just an island with nice

weather and surprising nature, but a pla-

ce that offers its visitors excellent fresh

products used for traditional dishes as

well as for new cooking trends. Thanks to

the Food and Wine Tourism Revitalization

Plan of the Lanzarote’s Government, there

are interesting food and wine events going

on with the aim of supporting the island

autochthonous products and creating an

interesting offer of gastronomic- tourist

leisure to our visitors. In Lanzarote, you

will experience a year that will leave a

good taste in your mouth.

FERIA DEL QUESO

CHEESE FAIR

Durante este fin de semana, se celebra en el

pueblo marinero de Playa Blanca, en el sur de

la isla, una feria popular en la que el queso es

el protagonista. Los visitantes podrán disfrutar

de todas las variedades de quesos que se ela-

boran en la isla, así como deliciosas creaciones

culinarias en donde el queso local se convierte

en la estrella del lugar, y todo ello realizado por

más de una veintena de restauradores de la isla

y siempre, maridados con los excelentes vinos

malvasías DO Lanzarote. Es un lugar en el que

se está en contacto directo con los ganaderos,

con los maestros queseros, con los cocineros,

además de demostraciones en directo de ela-

boración de quesos artesanos, música en vivo y

muchas ganas de pasarlo bien.

During this weekend, a popular fair with the

cheese as main character is taken place at the

fishermen town of Playa Blanca, in the south of

the island. Visitors will enjoy all the varieties of

cheese elaborated in the island, as well as deli-

cious culinary creations based on local cheese.

All these, prepared by more than twenty res-

taurants of the island. All dishes are naturally

accompanied by excellent malvasia wines from

Lanzarote. This is a place where to meet cattle

breeders, cheese masters, cooks, etc. There are

also live demonstrations of the elaboration of ar-

tisan cheese, live music and to sum up, the place

where to have lots of fun.

La Winerun es, sin duda, uno de los eventos

enogastronómico-deportivos más emblemáti-

cos del país, donde se combina deporte, eno-

gastronomía, naturaleza, protección paisajísti-

ca y responsabilidad social. Los participantes

pueden escoger entre una carrera de 21 Km o

una agradable caminata de 10 Km, a través del

territorio vinícola de La Geria, donde las parras

crecen en hoyos formados en la ceniza volcáni-

ca. El vencedor gana su peso en litros de vino y

todos los competidores disfrutan de los caldos

D.O. Lanzarote que son ofrecidos por diversas

bodegas en los puestos de avituallamiento. Al

finalizar el recorrido, en la meta, les espera el

Festival de Cocina Tradicional, donde un con-

junto de restaurantes, queserías, bodegas,

establecimientos de cocina dulce... deleitarán

a los visitantes con una oferta divertida y atrac-

tiva con lo mejor de nuestro recetario tradicio-

nal. Corredores, senderistas, acompañantes y

todos los que lo deseen podrán disfrutar en un

ambiente de cordialidad y entusiasmo con los

mejores productos enogastronómicos de esta

tierra.

Winerun is one of the most emblematic food

and wine sport event in Spain, where sport, food

and wine, nature, environmental protection and

social responsibility are combined. Participants

can choose between a 21 Km race or a nice

10 Km stroll through the wine territory of La

Geria, where the vines grow in holes made in

the volcanic ash. All the participants can taste

the wines from Lanzarote, which are offered

by different wineries at the provisioning points.

At the end of the route, at the finish line, you

will find the Traditional Cuisine Festival, where

restaurants, cheese factories, wineries, sweet

shops, etc. will surprise visitors with a fun and

attractive offer with the best of our traditional

recipes. Runners, walkers, friends and anyone

who wants to enjoy are welcome to an enthu-

siastic and friendly environment with the best

food and wine products from this land.

Pues esa es la esencia de Sonidos Líquidos,

aunar en un mismo evento la música en direc-

to con una cata de vinos y todo maridado con

delicias gastronómicas. Disfrutar de una ex-

periencia en la que intervienen prácticamente

los cinco sentidos, los cuales se encuentran en

comunión gracias al vino, la buena comida, la

música, la bodega y el buen ambiente. Y ade-

más, al ser una iniciativa nacida en la isla de

Lanzarote (Islas Canarias), y desarrollada en

varias bodegas situadas en La Geria, la expe-

riencia gana aún en mayor calidad por poder

disfrutar de un paisaje único en el mundo.

Con esta feria se pone en valor los productos

ecológicos y del mar, cuya producción y extrac-

ción artesanal permite obtener unos frutos muy

apreciados por el consumidor. Una oportunidad

para que turistas y residentes disfruten conjun-

tamente en la magnífica costa de Playa Honda.

Será una veintena de expositores (productores,

restauradores, bodegueros y queseros) los que

ofrecerán degustaciones creativas que harán

deleitar a nuestros visitantes y residentes. Como

siempre, los vinos malvasía con D.O. Lanzarote

serán los compañeros ideales para el paladar.

With this fair, we expect to give value to ecolo-

gical and sea products, which production and

artisan extraction allow to obtain fruits highly

estimated by the consumer. This is an oppor-

tunity for tourists and residents to enjoy toge-

ther in the magnificent coast of Playa Honda.

Twenty exhibitors (producers, restaurants,

wineries and cheese factories) will offer crea-

tive tastings. As always, malvasia wines from

Lanzarote will be the perfect companions for

your palate.

GRAPE HARVEST FESTIVAL

La bodega La Geria celebra el Día de la Ven-

dimia, coincidiendo con la festividad de la

patrona de La Geria, la Virgen de la Caridad.

Durante ese día se revivirá una vendimia tra-

dicional, tal y como hacían nuestros antepa-

sados, utilizando el camello como elemento

de transporte de la uva hasta la bodega y

pisándola posteriormente en el lagar, donde

están invitadas a participar todas las perso-

nas que lo deseen. Un evento que nuestros

visitantes más curiosos han de disfrutar: una

vendimia única en un espacio único. A lo lar-

go de la jornada tendrán lugar distintas sa-

lidas a la finca con la caravana de camellos

para la recogida de la uva, para posterior-

mente pisarla en la bodega. Y como siempre,

el que lo desee podrá participar activamente

en ambas labores.

La Geria Winery organises the Day of the Grape

Harvest the same day of the celebration of La

Geria patron saint, the Virgin of Charity. During

that day, there will be a traditional grape har-

vest, as our ancestors used to do, using camels

to transport the grape to the winery and step-

ping on it afterwards at the winepress. Every-

body is invited to the winepress. This event is

highly recommended for curious visitors: a uni-

que harvest, in a unique territory. All along the

day, there will be several camel convoys to carry

the grapes to the winery and visitors are more

than invited to join this original convoy.

FERIADE LA TAPA

En el casco antiguo de Puerto del Carmen

(municipio de Tías), en el Varadero, hábitat

natural de los pescadores de costa de este

afamado destino turístico, tiene lugar esta

concurrida Feria Enogastronómica, donde se

da a conocer el concepto gastronómico de la

“Tapa”. Con los mejores productos locales y

con el saber hacer de una restauración cada

vez más comprometida con la calidad y con

los valores de identidad, agasajamos a turis-

tas y residentes con creaciones divertidas e

imaginativas en un marco acogedor. Los vinos

D.O. Lanzarote serán fieles acompañantes en

esta aventura culinaria y nos introducirán en

la cultura vitivinícola de la isla, además de ser

el maridaje perfecto para recordar este evento

como una cita indispensable en el calendario.

Celebramos también, junto con el resto de

destinos Saborea España, el Día Internacio-

nal de la Tapa, sucediendo en distintos puntos

de la geografía española y en otros países del

mundo, actuaciones que la ponen en valor y

la identifican con la cultura gastronómica es-

pañola.

Carmen (Tías Municipality), at the Varade-

ro, natural habitat of coast fishermen in this

famous tourist destination, takes place this

crowded Food and Wine Fair of the“Tapa”.

With the best local products and the fine job

of the restaurants, more and more engaged to

quality and identity values, we lavish tourists

and residents with fun and imaginative crea-

tions in a comfortable environment. The wi-

nes from Lanzarote will accompany us in this

cooking adventure and will introduce us into

the island wine culture. Local wines will be

the perfect marriage to remember this event

as an unforgettable date on our calendar. We

also celebrate the International Day of the

Tapa, together with the rest of Tasting Spain

destinations. In different spots of the Spanish

geography and in other countries of the world

too, the tapa will receive a tribute and will be

also identified with the Spanish gastronomic

Es el momento de la gran fiesta de la eno-

gastronomía de Lanzarote. Profesionales de

otras zonas de España y de Canarias compar-

ten con nuestros cocineros y público en ge-

neral propuestas y conceptos gastronómicos

de vanguardia, donde el producto local es el

protagonista. Durante tres días se celebra un

amplio evento en el que todos los públicos tie-

nen cabida. Desde los productores y artesanos

que nos muestran sus productos, pasando por

diferentes industrias alimentarias de la isla,

hasta restauradores y empresas de hostelería

dedicadas a satisfacer a los paladares más

exigentes. La villa de Teguise, anfitrión del

evento, se empapa de esta pasión por la gas-

tronomía y en muchos de los restaurantes del

casco histórico se puede disfrutar de menús

específicos creados para la ocasión. Además

de la carpa principal, donde miles de visitantes

se entretendrán en el mercado gastronómico,

existe una zona más técnica llamada “Aula del

gusto” donde se dan charlas y demostracio-

nes con showcooking por los profesionales

más destacados. Los más pequeños tienen

también actividades pensadas para ellos, hay

jornadas de cine temático con la gastronomía,

degustaciones, catas, espectáculos y un pro-

grama de lo más completo.

and wine culture. Professionals from other

areas of Spain Mainland and the rest of the Ca-

nary Islands share with our cooks and public in

general proposals and avant-garde gastrono-

mic concepts with local products as the main

character. Three days event for all types of

public. From producers and artisans showing

their products, different food industries of the

island, to restaurants and catering enterprises

dedicated to satisfy the most exigent palates.

The Village of Teguise, host of the event, live

with passion the gastronomy and many of the

restaurants located in the town center offer

special menus created for the occasion. Apart

from the main awning, where thousands of

visitors will enjoy the gastronomic market,

there is a more technique area called “Taste

Room”, where there are talks and exhibitions

with showcooking held by the best professio-

nals. There are also activities for the little ones

like cinema with gastronomic topics, tastings,

shows and a very complete programme.
