Caldes town

• In Caldes there are 15.000 inhabitants.

• It has two parts:– the old part, casc

antic – The modern part.

old city centre

• It has roman origins, for example Font, Plaça del lleó (lion fountain) Roman terms, church, public laundry , roads,…

Roman terms

• Termes is a roman building for a spa that has been preserved until today. It is the best preserved roman bath of Spain.

Church

• The parish church was built between the XVI and XVII centuries. Of baroque style its main entrance is framed by columns.

The town hall

This is the town hall, in Casc Antic, the old town center.

It is a new and modern building.

It was built 6 years ago. Before, it was on other place.

Main street

There are many shops of pets, flowers, fruit, clothes, ice creams, bars...

All popular tradicions take place in this street.

The market

The market is on all Tuesdays in the old centre and the major streets. There are stalls of vegetables, food, fish, fruit, clothes, eggs, flowers, etc..

IES manolo hugué

• It is our secondary school where we go to study. It is very big. It has 35 classes.

• The red tower is a small mountain to the suburbs

It has a library, bar-restaurant, some laboratories, computer classes, gym, two soccer fields, etc...

Area sports

• There are two areas of sport: Bugarai and Farell.

In bugaray area, there are two small soccer fields, and in Farell area there is a new big soccer field, two swimming pools, a very good gym, multisports area, etc...

Parks

• In our town there are many parks. In the parks there is much vegetation and children games.

The most important parks are: station park and can rius park.

Torre Roja

• The red tower is on a small mountain in the suburbs.

This is a tower where the Iberians monitored his territory in order to protect themselves.

Torre Marimon

• The marimon’s tower is like a castle 2 kms far from the town.

• Some years ago they used to teach courses about sheep and other animals.

• Now, people go there to rest or walk in the nature.

Typical products

The carquinyolis and Flors del Remei are typicals products of Caldes de Montbui.

They are made in Caldes town.

People use to eat them after lunch, with the family, friends...

The Three Magic Kings

Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar are the Magic kings from the east.

They bring presents for the children on 6th of January every year.
