Calculator Use - Basic• When you take out the Casio fx-260 calculator, it will

automatically react to the light and you will normally see a “0” in the display panel along with the letters DEG. This means the calculator is in its default function for basic computations. If it does not display DEG and a “0,” you should press the key. This will return your calculator to the computation mode.

• You can find the answers to fraction problems by using the a b/c key on the Casio fx-260 calculator. It is the first key in the second row of keys.

• Enter the fraction 5/6 by:1. Entering the number 52. Pressing the fractions - a b/c – button3. Entering the number 6

You should now see 5_| 6 on the display. This is how the Casio fx shows fractions.

• To enter the mixed number :1. Enter the whole number – 22. Press the fractions key3. Enter the numerator – 54. Press the fractions key5. Enter the denominator – 8Your display should now show 2_|5_|8.This is how the Casio fx shows a mixed number.

1. Enter the improper fraction 16/3 and press the fractions key.

2. Leave the mixed number on the screen.3. Press the shift key followed by the fractions
