This screen will show your CSU eligibility, based on the transcript
information that CaliforniaColleges.edu has been able to match for you.
This may not include all coursework you have taken, and we will walk you through identifying those courses now
All coursework that appears in GREEN (completed with a C or better) or in
RED (a-g course completed with a grade of D or F) or in LIGHT GREY (enrolled or planned)

All Coursework that appears in YELLOW might fulfill an a-g requirement, but needs to be reviewed

Frequently, courses in YELLOW are courses taken at a non-Fresno Unified high school
Courses in DARK GREY are not a-g approved and will not be entered into Cal State Apply.

Repeated Courses
• CSU defines repeated course as the exact same course, taken at a later time
• APEX and Edgenuity courses cannot replace face-to-face courses
• A non-Honors level course cannot replace an Honors/AP/IB course
• Effectively identifying and reporting repeated course grades is important
because it affects your GPA and CSU Eligibility Index for admission.
• If you have repeated a course, report only the highest grade(s) earned –
this will require editing in Cal State Apply
When you have repeated a course, remove the deficient grade and replace it with “No Grade”
The new grade must be reported in the appropriate school year earned.
Your Counselor will help you identify which course records you have repeated
Editing Repeated Course Grades
Change ‘F’ to “No Grade”Example:This student got an F in the first Semester of
her 10th grade year in Modern World History,
and an A in the second semester.
She repeated Semester 1 of Modern World
History during Summer School and got a grade
of A.
Therefore, she would change the
Fall “F” to “No Grade”
Some A-G requirements can be fulfilled by
subject matter validation:
• Area C (Math)
• Area D (Chemistry)
• Area E (Foreign Language)
In each of these areas, a grade of C or higher in the second semester validates a
D or F earned in the first semester.
In the case of both Math and Foreign Language, successful completion of higher
level coursework may also fulfill the requirement..
For a course where a Second Semester grade of C or better has validated
a First Semester grade of D or F, add an additional line
with the same course title and enter a First Semester grade of “Pass”
This applies to Math, Foreign Language and Chemistry courses only.
You DO NOT remove any grade records for validated coursework.
In the case of both Math and Foreign Language,
successful completion of higher level coursework
may also fulfill the requirement
• A grade of C or higher in Algebra II will validate Algebra I
• A grade of C or higher in the second semester of an Advanced Mathematics course validates the
entire three year requirement
• A grade of C or higher in the second semester of a Lever 2 or higher foreign language course will
validate the entire two year subject requirement
• AP exams, IB Exams and SAT II exam scores can also possibly fulfill the requirement
Your Counselor will help you to correctly enter these
validation records into Cal State Apply.
DO NOT SUBMIT
your application
without Counselor review
