Critical Care nurses are essential in the pandemic response and we want to ensure not only is it safe for our members and delegates to meet, but also that we do not jeopardize critical care nurses’ availability should there be a heightened response need in these volatile times.
It is with great regret that we announce the Dynamics of Critical Care™ 2020 onsite in Windsor, ON has been postponed.

CACCN Dynamics of Critical Care 2020 Abstract Presenter Questionnaire
The CACCN Conference Education & Evaluation Committee Co-Chairs and the Dynamics of Critical Care 2020 Local Operations Committee Chair are exploring ways to potentially transition some of the conference education from in-person to a virtual format. It is our goal to offer live and recorded content potentially from late September through to the end of November 2020.
Correspondence was sent via email on June 4 to the First Author of each accepted abstract, as we are seeking feedback regarding the options available to share your oral and/or poster presentation, through an online electronic format. The questionnaire has approximately 10 questions for presenters with one abstract and 16 questions for presenters with two abstracts. The questionnaire will take approximately 6 to 8 minutes to complete.
The questionnaire will close June 19 at 23:45 hrs ET.
If you are a first author and you did not receive the email, please contact CACCN at [email protected] to
receive the link.

Safety Bulletin
Volume 20, Issue 5, May 29, 2020
Propofol 2% (20 mg/mL): Safety Considerations for Introducing a Novel
Product into Hospitals
Some Canadian hospitals will need to begin using an imported double-strength (2% or 20 mg/mL) propofol 100 mL product because there is a shortage of the 1% (10 mg/mL) propofol 50 mL and 100 mL products. To mitigate the risks associated with introducing this novel product into medication-use systems, ISMP has produced a Safety Bulletin.
