Prof. Amaresh Kumar is practicing as an Advocate in the Supreme Court of India. He had learnt the skills advocacy from Late Shri R.K.Jain, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India and Shri Arun Mishra, presently elevated to the Bench of the High Court of Judicature at Jabalpur. He has expertised in the Constitutional, Writ, Service, Institutional, Educational, Central Government Services matters and University Laws in the Supreme Court of India and other High Courts in India. He had a vast experience of working for more than 21 years in the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education. He had hold the various posts like Deputy Director (Admin/Pers/Legal), Reader Physical Education (Sports Management & Olympic Studies). He had also worked previously on the post of principal for more than 2 years in the Banshi College of Education, Bithoor, Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. This College was duly recognized by the National Council for the Teachers Education for Bachelor of Physical Education courses and affiliated with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Prof. (Dr.) Amaresh Kumar had been duly appointed on the post of Principal under the provisions of Rule 31 of the U. P. State Universities Act, 1973 and The First Statutes of Kanpur Universities, 1977. He had been appointed in the UGC Pay Scale of Rs. 16,400.00 – 22,400 and was drawing the total emoluments of Rs. 38,000.00 in the basic salary of Rs. 35,000.00. After joining Banshi College of Education, the college has been granted recognition for B.Ed courses from NCTE and affiliation for B.Ed and BBA from Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur. The result of the First batch of the BPEd 2005-2006 have been 100% with 96% securing First Division.
Prof. Amaresh is the author of about 15 Text Books in Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Hindi and English. He is the recipient of, “Attending Grant for World Communication Conference of “Play the Game” at Copenhagen, Denmark, 6-10 November 2005”. Invited to attend the International Conference of Sports Law, 3-6 November 2005, at Seoul National University, Korea, by the Korean Association of Sports and Entertainment Laws. He was also Invited and appointed as coordinator by the International Council of Sports Sciences and Physical Education, Berlin to attend the International Seminar on Role of Physical Activities and Sports for Rehabilitation of Tsunami Victims Youth and Children of South East Asia from 28-30 October 2005, at Bangkok. The Thailand Ministry of Tourism and Sports and United Nation Organisation has specially invited him to attend the UNESCO Seminar on Sports and Education organized at Bangkok from 30 October to 2 November 2005.
For to his active involvement in the Legal profession as an academician and counsel in the matter of Educational, Institutional, Constitutional, and International Sports Law. He had been invited by the Indian Society for International Law to attend the “International Conference on the Emerging Trends in International Criminal Jurisprudence” 10-11 December 2005 at New Delhi.
Prof. (Dr.) Amaresh Kumar, was earlier working in the Rajeev Gandhi College from 11th September 2004 till 1st February 2006 on the post of Professor and Head of the Department (Physical Education) in the University Grant Commission pay scale of Professors Rs. 16400 - 22400. The College was an affiliated college of Barkatullah University, Bhopal and he was duly appointment on the Post of Professor by Barkatullah University, under Code – 28, of the Madhya Pradesh Vishvavidyalya Adhiniyman, 1978 for the said purpose.
Prof. (Dr.) Amaresh Kumar is a dedicated and hard working scholar with multidisciplinary educational concepts and after joining the Rajeev Gandhi College Department of Physical Education. He had widened the conventional studies of Physical Education, which were earlier limited to the Physical Education Teaching and Sports Directors. Now the studies of Physical Education and Sports have widened the various streams of life. Thus soon after joining his assignments as Professor and HOD (Physical Education) of the Rajeev Gandhi College Bhopal. He had submitted nine new concepts to the University Grant Commission of India under the Career Oriented Programmes in Physical Education and Sports . The experts committee of the University Grant Commission has approved and sanctioned the Grant-in- aid for 4 (Four) Courses viz:- “Sports Law & Agent Services; Sports Journalism and Electronic Media Coverage; Sports Events Management and Yoga and Natural Therapy”. These duel degree courses are being introduced at the Rajeev Gandhi College of Physical Education, at Bhopal from the Academic Year 2005-2006 along with the Basic Degree Courses.
He had been brought and bought up at Muzaffarpur, Bihar. His Schoolings had been completed in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kanpur, (Uttar Pradesh) and Dwarika Nath High School, Muzaffarpur, (Bihar). He did his Inter Collegiate studies in the Langat Singh College, Muzaffarpur, University of Bihar with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. He had been awarded distinctions in Mathematics in the Inter Collegiate Examination. Then he had attended the prestigious Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education, Gwalior, (here in after referred as LNCPE) for the Graduation Studies in Physical Education. He had successfully passed his three years Bachelor of Physical Education and two years Master of Physical Education from LNCPE in the year 1981 and 1983 respectively. He was awarded distinction in English in his Graduation and in Statistics in Post Graduation. He had also done his Coaching Specialization in Badminton and Swimming in BPE and MPE courses respectively. Being an active Cadet of National Cadet Corps he was the Senior Under Officer of the Gwalior Division and passed ‘B’ & ‘C’ Certificate Examination of Army Wing. He had also Attended several National Level Camps including Annual Leadership Camps the Parachute Training from Air Force Parachute Training School, Agra and Army Attachment with 10 JAK Rifle.
After working in the APJ Public School, Faridabad and Rabbani Bahai School, Gwalior he was selected on the Post of Research Assistant in his almameter, i.e., LNCPE, Gwalior, where he joined on 21st February 1984 and worked till 31st April 2004. Prof. (Dr.) Amaresh Kumar had to face very hard time during his service career due to his honesty and work dedication. Thereafter on the gracious indulgence of the Hon’ble High Court of Madhya

Pradesh, Supreme Court of India and Central Administrative Tribunal he was granted his due of Lecturer’s Pay Scale as Research Assistant from the initial date of his joining in LNCPE, Gwalior i.e., 21st February 1984 and was then got all due promotions on the posts of Lecturer, Lecturer (Senior Scale) w.e.f 21st
February 1989 and Reader w.e.f 21st February 1997. He had also been assigned the responsibilities to work as Assistant Director and Deputy Director (Administration, Legal and Personnel) in the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (Deemed University) for about 5 years during the period of 1999 till 2004. Prof. Kumar had played a key role in shaping his almameter upto the level of Deemed University by leading several political, social and judicial activism, when Shrimant Madhav Rao Scindia the Minister for Human Resource Development in the Union of India and Sadhivi Sushri Uma Barti, the Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India was the President of the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Society. Prof. Kumar had an honour to re-draft the Memorandum of Association of the LNIPE, Society in the year 2000. He had also worked as the Member Secretary of the Drafting Committee of the Service Bye-Laws of the LNIPE, which had been completed and adopted by the Board of Management of the LNIPE, Society.
He is a registered Advocate of the Madhya Pradesh Bar Council, and had also practiced as an Advocate in the High Courts and Supreme Court of India during the period of his illegal termination from 1995 till 1999. During which he had appeared in several constitutional matters before the High Courts and Supreme Court of India. This experience of Prof. Kumar will be of an added advantage for any Institution to look after the Legal Matters of that Institution in the Courts. He is the pioneering Sports Law in India. He is the Secretary General of the Sports Law & Welfare Association of India. He lauding the voice for the enactment of Sports Act and separate Council for Physical Education, consisted of the experts of Physical Education, in India. Recognising his work in Sports Law he had been granted membership of the International Sports Law Association, Greece. He had worked as the co-author and contributed for the Book published by the International Association of Sports Law in the year 2004.
Several Research and Scientific Papers of Prof. Kumar have been published and he had also been invited to attend many International and Olympic Scientific Congress for his scientific contribution in the field of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. His Doctoral Dissertation, “A Study of Dermatoglyphics in Sports” has been widely recognized and acclaimed internationally. He had shown his love for the National Language by filing a Public Interest Writ Petition for imparting Studies and allowing the students to writ examination in National Language, “Hindi” in Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education. Thereafter on the pronouncement of the Judgment of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Bench at Gwalior, reported in AIR 1997 MP 46, the Hindi had been made the medium of Instructions and examination in LNIPE., Gwalior.
