VIKULOVOVillage is in the Tyumen regionin Russia.Population(on January,1,2004)-7270 p.The first mention about Vikulovo goes to 1691It was made by famous traveller Miller.

History sat down. On the left bank of the river

Ishim the old Siberian village of Vikulovo was stretched with streets, covered violent greenery.

In 1691 salesman Anciferov based a fortress on a high hill of the river (afterwards adopted Shan'ginym). It was named Orlovo Gorodische.

In 18 century VIKULOVO was named ORLOVO GORODISCHE. There was legend about "Shan'gin bugor“.

But VIKULOVO and ORLOVO GORODISCHE are two different suburbs, this suburb of Orlovo Gorodische existed 166 years under this name.

Soon in a new suburb on the river Ishim arrived detachment for service, peasants began to develop.In 1700 appeared a church on Shan'ginom hill.On the first large card of Siberia of 1698 the suburb of Vikulova was already marked.

Vikulovo is a center not only a district, but also rural settlement. It has a district power, all of major concerns and establishments are held here.

In a district center go down from all territories to the measures, official conferences, creative competitions, sporting measures, on mass holidays and quite often raycentr is transformed from street decorations, bright fires, varicoloured populousness.
