  • Alex Wu Trio

    “Cantos De Las Americas” Join us for the library’s annual celebration of

    Hispanic Heritage on Friday, September 13 at 7 p.m.

    with a trio from New York City led by pianist Alex

    Wu. The New York City trio will kick off the new

    concert season by performing their show, “Cantos De

    Las Americas.” From Puerto Rican Bolero to

    Appalachian folk song; from the Flamenco roots of

    Granada to Musical Theater, this voice, guitar and

    piano ensemble brings you a range of universal

    emotions expressed by composers throughout the

    ages, in Spanish and English. The trio will perform

    the songs and music of Albéniz, Bernstein, Brouwer,

    Cordero, Grever, Jobim, Piazzolla, Velasquez, Villa-

    Lobos and more. Authentic Hispanic desserts will be

    served following the performance.

    Captain Jack Join us for an outdoor concert on Saturday,

    September 21 at 7 p.m. with Captain Jack and their

    rousing tribute to Long Island's own, Billy Joel. The

    event is held in the library portion of the front

    parking lot. Chairs are limited; bring chairs or

    blankets. In case of rain, the show will be held

    indoors.

  • He-Bird, She-Bird On Friday, November 22, we will again host our

    annual community pot-luck Thanksgiving dinner at 6

    p.m., followed by a concert at 7 p.m. This year’s

    concert will feature local folk and vocal group He-

    Bird, She-Bird. This tuneful local trio of Todd Evans,

    Terri Hall, and Christine Kellar, bring a rich and

    heartfelt vocal sound to a wide-rambling repertoire of

    American acoustic roots music including folk-rock,

    country, bluegrass, and gospel which fuel their

    original songs and spirited cover interpretations.

    Nino

    “The Songs of Sinatra and Friends” Come celebrate the holidays with local singer Nino

    who will perform his show, “The Songs of Sinatra and

    Friends.” With the room decorated in the style of a

    New York City supper club at Christmas time, East

    Patchogue resident Nino will perform a selection of

    songs by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Tony

    Bennett, including many holiday songs. Holiday

    desserts will follow the performance.

  • Rhonda Denet

    “Mostly Motown” Vocalist and band leader Rhonda Denet returns on

    February 21 to help us ring in Black History Month

    for 2020. She will perform a string of classic Motown

    hits with the help of her cracking backup musicians.

    Dessert buffet will follow the performance.

    Jerry McDonald Backed by his fellow musicians, jazz bassist and

    library favorite Jerry McDonald will return to play

    another tight set of jazz originals and traditional

    pieces, designed to welcome newcomers to the genre as

    well as to thrill long-time jazz enthusiasts.

    Fiddlers Green Join us on March 13 for our annual St. Patrick’s Day

    celebration with the Fiddlers Green. Whether joyous

    or full of sorrow and longing, the group plays a soulful

    brand of Irish music. Nobody does it quite like the

    Fiddlers Green! The room will be decorated for the

    holiday and Irish soda bread will be served following

    the performance.

    Truck Stop Gypsies

    Performing for the first time at the library will be

    husband and wife duo The Truckstop Gypsies, Lauren

    & Chuck Ware. The Truck Stop Gypsies acoustic duo

    will perform their own variation of roots influenced

    soulful blues, bebop, rock, retro, tear-your-heart-out

    songs and anything else they really like!

    Fast Lane For the library’s 12th Annual Outdoor Concert, we are

    very excited to welcome back the nation’s premier

    Eagles tribute act, Fast Lane. The band will play a

    set spanning the entire Eagles career. Their renditions

    of Eagles classics have received praise throughout the

    U.S. and Europe.

    The show will be held in the library’s parking lot.

    Chairs are limited; you may bring chairs/blankets. In

    case of rain, the show will be held downstairs in the

    library’s program room.
