The Vision of CI-PNWCHRISTMAS INSTITUTE is held every year fromDECEMBER 26 - 30.To know Jesus Christ, and make Him known...To fellowship with other believersTo mature in our faith...To link our cultural identities with faith in action...

The Roots of CIChristmas Institute originatedin the Philippines in 1921.Since then,youth and young adultsthroughout the Philippineshave gathered each yearto discuss issues relevant toyoung people living in faith,and to build and strengthenyoung leaders within theUnited Methodist Church.

Bringing CI to the U.S.AChristmas Institute was adapted into the United Statesin 1981, with the support of the National Associationof Filipino American United Methodists.Following the model of CI inthe Philippines, youth andyoung adults in the U.S. couldalso experience a UMC campthat would address faith issueswithin an atmosphere thatintentionally acknowledgedFilipino identity and heritage.

CI continues to expandThe following UMC Annual Conferences or Jurisdictionscurrently have a Christmas InstituteCalifornia - PacificCalifornia - NevadaPacific NorthwestSouth CentralNortheastSoutheastNorth Central JurisdictionMore stateside CI locationsare in the works, through theefforts of NAFAUMs paglago,which means growth.

Through the guidance and direction of our Filipino clergyappointed in the Pacific Northwest Annual Conference,Christmas Institute has blossomed from its support fromthe PNWAC Ethnic and Multicultural Ministries,and local churches such asRonald UMC (Shoreline, WA)and the Filipino Ministry at Silverdale UMC (Silverdale, WA)Beacon UMC (Seattle, WA)
